STG Clones in automated Flood & Drain?

Has anybody been able to automate clone watering using STG 1.5" cubes instead of 1.5" rockwool?

I like the rockwool, and had good success with it, but won't always be able to hand water stuff 2 - 3x per day. The STG looks promising. I'm just wondering if anyone has done this and what their success rate was.

The only downside I can see is that I won't be able to use a heat mat under them in a F&D table.

Atach the heat mat to the bottom of the f@d table, should worm things up untill flood then start worming afrer, you can use heat tape used for reptiles and cut it to whatever lingth you need
