What's up guys, I'm back with a new room and a new approach. I had to move to a new town and to my surprise when I got to the new place there is a room in the basement that was just begging to have some beautiful trees in it. I will update with pictures when I get home from class but I'll give you the run down on my set up. My grow room is in the basement of my house. I am ruining 4 different strains at the moment. All have yet to pop as I just put them in the soil yesterday. I am ruining a chocolope, a jack herer, c99, and new York power diesel in fox farm ocean forest. I plan on using only water for the first 4 weeks or so of these girls lives. Eventually in a few weeks I will put my screen in place and begin the scrog process. Ambient temps in the basement are around 60f but I am ruining 24/0 on the lights during veg with hotilux blue 400w. Then switch to hps for flower. Currently with lights on the room is sitting at 71f. This is ideal for me because the heat from my light can be used to keep my girls warm. Let me know what you guys think. My room is probably around 4wX6lX7h but I will only use a 3x4 footprint. If all goes well I expect to see a substantial increase in my average yield. I have been around a qp per go around in the past in a2x3x5 tent. I hope to double that. I know that's a large goal but I am used to fighting heat. I think this will be much more successful then my previous set up. I plan on using an organic tea for nutes later on or the Fox farm trio. Let me know what you guys think. I am still acquiring my green thumb so I could use any advise you guys can give. U have never done me wrong before guys. Let's do this guys. Help TREEMEUP
and if ur in my neck of the woods maybe I'll TreeUup.

thanks mcon i just got home so i will run downstairs and grab some pics of the current set up. no girls poppin yet but i thought yall would appriciate some pics. I did my best to describe everything but as they say a picture is worth 1000 words. My set up is pretty basic as of now. I know the room is not air tight so there are several passive intakes. as far as exhaust i currently have none because i prefer to use the heat from the light to warm up the room. Will this be a problem? even if i dont exhaust the heat off of my light should i still be exhausting air out of the room or do you guys think it will be fine? I am probably only utilizing 1/4 the space available in the room so there is plenty of extra air space. I was hoping to not need to exhaust so no holes need to be cut in the floor joices because the walls of my room are concrete block and i wont be able to cut a hole into that. Advice is always appriciated. thanks guys

Just a quick update. The chocolope fem and the c99 gem have popped along with the jack herer reg. The only seed that hasn't sprouted is the new York power diesel. All three baby plants are currently about 2 inches tall and looking nice green and healthy. I hope the nypd pops up but I'm sure if it doesn't I can still reach the yield I want with one less plant. Should just add a week or two of veg time. I will update with pics of the babies once they have their first full set of leaves. Happy growing to everyone.

So it has been a few weeks since i last posted. The NYPD did not make it but the other three are growing strong. I still dont know if the jack herer is a female or not but the screen is in place and the plants are being trained at the moment. Everything looks great to me at the moment. They have had just over one month of veg growth and Im thinking It will probably be another 4 weeks before the flip. I am having a very hard time waiting as all of the grass in my area is either waaaaayyyyyy overpriced or just shitty dirt mexican brick. I appreciate all comments, questions, concerns, etc.... I will run down and grab a photo or two to get everyone a little more enticed. happy growing guys and gals

so today i was a little bored and still waiting to flip my lights to 12 12. They have been under mh for 24 hrs a day since feb 26th so we are now on week 7. Being as bored as i was i decided to see if i couldn't sex my plants. I don't have much experience in this area but with a little patience and some research i was able to confirm that all three of my plants are girls:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:. This is awesome. I know two of them were supposed to be as they were feminized seeds but the Jack herer is also a girl and this makes me happy because I have now learned another growers technique and do not need to buy feminized seeds anymore. Life is great. Happy growing fellers. Flower will most likely be started within the next 7 to 10 days so pull up a chair for the show everyone. I dont like to count my chickens before they hatch but i think this is going to be a good one.:hump:

For some reason april 20th seemed like a great day to throw these three beautiful girls into flower. they will see their first darkness at 9 am on 420. I would say that the screen is about 65 percent give or take a little full so i am hoping to fill the screen with the stretch. If anyone has grown out any of these strains and can tell me about the stretch period and what to expect your time would be greatly appriciated.

everything is going great. the screen is getting very full and the girls are in full on stretch mode. They have had their first feeding and are looking quite well I think. buds are forming very quickly. Flower has only been in effect for 10 days and already there are pistils everywhere. before the first feeding I think that the nutrients in the soil were begining to become insufficient as the lower leaves were yellowing. This to me seemed as if the plants needed a meal and were just consuming some unneeded underfoliage in order to supply nutrients to the upper part of the plant. after a quick trim of all the yellowed leaves and a feeding the girls seem to be thriving. Smell is still minimal. I think i will train another ten days or so then just let them reach toward the light. Things are finally getting exciting.

Looking good, I'm thinking about trying out SCROG'n myself. When exactly did u install the screen?

I installed the screen about 3 weeks from seed give or take. I am currently on flower day 22. They were veged for 8 weeks before the flip. I will add pics here in a minute.

Anyone have any input on revegging? I am planning on giving it a try this time. If I don't reveg myself I might find a nice spot outside for these three and see how big they can get this summer. Any thoughts on what I should do with them? I have more seeds I could start if I decide to put them outside.

Re-veg is possible once in flower, either from a clone in flower or the whole plant, though it comes with some consequences. It takes about 4 weeks for it revert back to veg and start growing again. It branches like crazy from every bud site at the bottom of the plant. More branches can be good to have but it means a lot more buds and a much smaller size. A bit of a choir to trim but good for extracts or hash production. Defoliating is a MUST with Monster Cropping just to keep them under control, makes them great for mothers who need to produce numerous clones. I have no experience Monster Cropping in a SCROG but I imagine it would do very well in your set up.

The name of the technique "Monster Cropping" is named after the guys who pioneered this method, though some believe its from the monster plant of branches you get. A google search for Monster Cropping will show there is not many documented grows and it has its limited application. But some very cool looking pictures in images of a search engine.

You should of filled that screen out a lot more before the flip, you shouldn't be able to see any of the screen if it's done right and should trim everything below the screen.

Plants look good, just a lil constructive criticism

Oh and on a reveg when you chop them down leave a lil bit on the bottom, a lil bud site with a few leaves and transplant them into a new lil bigger home and feed them high N and keep them to the corner of the room, they don't need much light.
