Stems have white cores?

So I did some topping yesterday and found something interesting. The center of every stem had a pure white core. I have seen hollow cores and green pulpy cores, but never this whiteness. I am dealing with a severely acidic growth medium (fucking ocean forest!) and am wondering if this could be salt build up or something? I have no pictures, but it is just a normal stem with a pure white core all the way through.

In addition, if anyone has any good methods to basify soil, please share them. I am looking for a way to raise the ph of the soil in an already potted plant, so please don't tell me to mix in dolomite lime with my soil as I cannot.

My babies thank you..!

the plants are healthy as can be.
i am suffering from very acidic soil and subsequently have seen some nute lockout.
i was fearing that it was some sort of salt build up, but i guess not!
last night i ran some flora kleen with a ph of 7.8 through them and they seem to be much better.
thanks for the help!

though i have been on this site for a while, i still have no idea how to give positive rep to people.
if you tell me how, ill give you some..!

Dub in the top right corner of the posters page is a white cloudy thing(center) It is a balance beam/ scale click and it will help you give rep.

word.
i see it.

fox farm has worked well in the past for me as well.
for some reason my runoff is reading at a 4.9 though.
i have read multiple posts on this site saying that it is often times "hot" and will burn clones and seedlings. most people suggest to cut it with light warrior to alleviate this issue.
i put clones straight into ocean forest and have been struggling with burn since day one.

next go around i am making my own mix.
