EDIT: Sorry, I meant "Bubbleponics" -_-

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if you all could lend me some advice as to this product.
http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=2&xSec=54

From reading other threads, yes I know it's easy to make your own and you could do it for cheaper, but I honestly don't have the time, and I don't mind the price.

Basically, my question is, with this system can I basically let it do all the work. I don't know very much about growing(I will learn the basics needed use this kit), and I mean no disrespect to you all because I know it's probably really annoying because I'm coming off as that guy who doesn't want to do any work, or learn the fundamentals... I'm sorry for that, I honestly mean no disrespect and appologize, I do plan to learn on my way!

My questions.

1) With this system, how much maintenance & work on my part will be required? Can I just put in my germed seeds and let it do all it's own work?

2) Will there be a odor / smell of marijuana from the system / plants. (I'd only have roughtly 2 to 4 plants) (Probably a dumb question, but I read someplace that some hydro-kits can filter smell.)

3) As far as electricity usage, how much would this run me a month if I only have 2 to 4 plants on it?

I'd appreciate any feedback, and please don't flame me too hard. =P

Regards,

i suggest using the cfl lights they come with for half vegging only or even just for the seedling stage and then move onto a HID lighting system.

Work is still required like pH testing topping off(refilling resivior between changes), no the system will not filter the smell. you will need some odor control. glade/febreeze plugins around the house. vinegar in a plate etc. carbon filter is best but expensive.

May i ask what kind of spacing you are using??? you will need fans as well. the nutes that come with the Sh system are kinda bad and a pain to deal with. i suggesst getting something like GH flora nova series nutrients.

Good luck

As far as the work you mentioned required, simple stuff like that I can handle. However, if I was gone for 3 days, would my plants beable to survive on their own?

Also my space constraits are, a good sized wardrobe / closet in a dorm room. I am on the 5TH Story of the Dorm building, I also have a AC / Fan system in my room and a window.

Thanks for the advice! However, I am not interested in making my own, I just don't have the time and I'm fine with the price im paying! I will keep it in mind though, if I ever have free time and need a project.

This^^

I have those lights, from them and they're only really good for seedlings and maybe the first two weeks of vegging. After that they just don't cut it in terms of giving the plant(s) what they really require. They do make for good side supplemental lighting in addition to a HID though.

Also the guy below me mentioned that they are extremely easy to make and far cheaper if you DIY. I was going to buy their Bucketeer system and realized I could build one exactly like theirs for 1/2 the price.

Best of luck on your grow:eyesmoke:

Thanks for the replies guys!

My major concerns are smell, and how the plants will do if left alone.

As long as smell can be kept to a minimum, and the plants can survive for 2 or 3 days alone, I should be fine!

As for smell there are strains that are low oder..im not sure of them right now or get a carbon filter..i think your plants will be ok for 2 or 3 days as long as everything is set right before you leave......

they have odor absorbers at walmarts. that along with febreeze plugins around the house. should suit you. for 2-4 small medium plants

I made my own for $50.00. Just a small exampled of there overpriceing is the distributor head. They want 15.00 for it. I got mine at home depot for 5.00. So if you can make your own. Water pump on Ebay 12.00.

No mater what you do. Good luck and good grow.
