Stealth PC Grow Box Questions

Hey guys, first time grower here. I have to keep this grow stealthy because of my straight edge roommates. I'm currently growing some bag seed just to get some experience under my belt before I buy any expensive strains. I have about 40 seeds so there isn't any issue if I mess up one plant. My first plant is recovering from PH lockout from some VERY acidic pine soil and I just put two other seeds in there because why not. Obviously this isn't a professional grow, it's more of a hobby than anything.

Seeds: Bagseed

Lights: 4x 18w White CFLs at 24hrs of light per day

Soil: Miracle Grow Potting Mix

Air Flow: 1x Intake Fan and 1 Exhaust Fan

Nutrient: None at the moment because of the Miracle Grow time release soil

Temperature: 79 Degrees Fahrenheit


The biggest issue besides the lack of lighting is the limited space. I know there are alot of growing techniques such as LST, SCROG, etc. Which is best for this?

Please share any ideas to improve this little box!

Goodluck with this, looks very similar to mine even with the way you have your plant raised up. What I've seen done so far is a mix of LST and SCROG. One plant that I have in my first PC grow I've done LST and its hardly made a difference. Lots of trial and error, oh well learn from your mistakes good luck!

start reading everything you can about lst. get really good at that and you will have fun growing stealth. You must build a carbon filter, it will stink when it flowers not if, when. Get ona gel at least. ive used upto 250 watts of cfls per plant.

Not trying to tell you what to do or anything but just giving advise. I Grew in a small cab when I lived with one of my friends and he was against the idea of growing and it was awful always trying to hide it and not ever knowing if he was gonna find out. The smell and everything it was horrible. I was always paranoid that he was gonna call me in or some shit. My best bet is just forget it till you live on your own. way less trouble. Not trying to tell you but just giving advise. ppl tried to give me advise but I never listened and I should have. my best idea is to just research and learn about other peoples failures and stuff before you try. but now that ive said that and its out of the way I would go with LST because its really easy to do and you can get away with just using string and tape. Is there coco in the mix? A think a saw some. I had pH issues because of coco coir in my mix without buffering it. So i added dolomite lime to top soil and mixed it in a bit. I also added dolomite to 65°C water (warm to hot), let it cool down (had to put some ice cubes) and watered in. I was scared that the dolomite wasn't going to have effect quickly enough to save the plant, but two days later my 3.5 Liter pot was stable between 6.5-7.0. Heads up for anyone putting coco in their mix, and want to buffer it organically, dolomite's your guy.
