First week of flowering
I finally switched her to 12/12 on this last sunday
I'm using 2x 105W 2700k CFL's
also added topmax and biobloom to her feeding schedule
I usally water every 2-3 days, feed on every watering

you can really see how shes growing much faster ever since I doubled the wattage :))

I'll try and be as specific as I can for this update upon vitamin's request

Day 1 flower

Day 2

I rearanged the tops here and did some LST (found 2 tops hiding under the higher tops)
I love how the tops are nicely arranged here

Day 3

if you zoom a bit you can see the LST I did at day 2 on the left side

Day 4

Stretch stretch

on account of the stretching I had to rearanged the tops (mostly on the right) and LST a bit yesterday (took it off today)
here she is today (Day 6)

you can see that I moved all the tops on the right one squre to the right
also did that with one top on the left, will probably do it for the last two after they stretch abit more

The scrog net I made is pretty horriable looking but it does the job
I made the net from a metal coat hanger, the frame is made out of cardboard, and I used velcro to hold it in place

I think thats about it, see ya next week :)

So do you feel like it was neccesaey to FIM it before you SCROGed it? Its looking awesome, and I appreciate all the nice pictures!
thx, and yes it was really necessary, I kinda wish I would have fimmed it twice instead of just once
next time I'm gonna try to fim it twice and early on so I would have more tops by the time she reaches the screen

What size pot is that? You only transfered once correct?
It's a 1 gallon pot
the only kind of transfer I did is planting her with the rockwool cube in soil

Now that im on 12/12 should I use 2x 105w 2700k bulbs? or maybe should I mix it and use a 105w 2700k and a 135w 5500k blubs?
ever since I switched to the warmer lights she really started to strech and its getting crowded, I was thinking maybe a mix will slow the stretching while not harming the bud growth
what do you guys think?

She's 50 days old today! wohoo! :dunce:
and its day 15 since switching to 12/12

well, I just came to say that she is a TOUGH little bastard!
I had to take her out of the scrog a couple days ago and rearrange everything (it was getting REAL crowded in there)
and while putting her back into the scrog net I heard a snap :o and realised one of the tops was nearly torn off
you could notice the droppy leaves in a matter of minutes, so I taped it with some duct tape and hoped for the best
in just two days that top was looking great, no droppy leaves and the bud growth didnt even stop!
I took the duct tape off today and you can still see the damage

the leaves look all messed up because I had to wrap the duct tape around them - and to my suprise, when I took the duct tape off I found that they started to grow pistils aswell :D
it only looks bad, that top is keeping up with the rest, and it feels real sturdy, not like its going to break off or whatnot

she's flowering up nicely, so far there's no odor - really hope it will keep up like that, one less thing to worry about

and finally some pics

cheers

Looking good! I am about to start my first grow in my mini cab, just some autos but hopefully it will give me the experience I need!

Did you ever finish the light trap for your passive intake? I have an intake fan and and exhaust fan, and the room is sitting at 72 degrees and I'm still pushing like 84°. Do you think a passive intake would help?

I did finish it but when I use it the intake pull is much lower and it can get pretty hot so I only use it when theres people around the house... And the passive intake is REALLY effective, it almost doubled the air intake, and the intake air is cooler then before (at room temp) because when you use a fan for the intake, the fan gets hot and blow hot air into the grow box.

So, I look back at page 1 and you have the fans setup one low and one high, but then when I see the picture with the passive intake, the fans are right behind the bulbs? Alos, what did you use to cut into such a flimsy material? Why 2 cutouts for passive and not just one? Thanks, and sorry for all the questions!

dont worry about it, Im glad to help
yea, the fans are directly behind the bulbs

I allways use a cutter with cardboard, it gives the smoothest cuts in my experience
and because the material is flimsy like you said, the panel is made out of 2 layers of cardboard which I glued together to make it more durable - but if I had the time and the right tools I would probably prefer to use wood

the reason I made 2 cutouts was because I wanted the air to hit the plant but at the same time I wanted good circulation in the box
I was thinking that If the intake would be as low as possible it will prevant hot spots where air doesnt move around at the bottom of the box
so I positioned one cut just above the height of the plant's pot - didnt want it any lower so the pot wont block the airway
and the other one was cut at a random height - where the plant would be after it grows
since then I even made another cut between them to change the ratio of intake/outtake to 2/3 (it was 1/2 before if I remember correctly)

I suggest you read up about ventalation before you make any decision
I chose to go with negetive pressure but there's alot of debate about this subject, some people prefer positive pressure instead.
so it's best you will make that choice for yourself.

this is one of the best guides I found on ventalation, theres pretty much everything you need to know in here:

If I'm already here I might aswell upload some new photos :)
she's at day 23 since 12/12
today was the first time I noticed some odor, the smell was really faint and smelled pretty sweet and fruity :weed:
It's really crowded and the tops are getting real close to the bulbs, I need to keep tightening her LST ropes on a daily basic.
although I did switch one of the 105W 2700k bulb to a 135W 5500k bulb, and the stretching did slowed down but not enough :/

next grow I'll definitely veg much less and LST alot earlier
maybe even get some sort of a screen to prevent the plant from reaching the bulbs

Awesome thread D! I was making plans to build a grow cab pretty much that same size and I stumbled onto your thread while looking for ideas. I don't know how to "+rep" because I'm new but if I know hoe I totally would! That speaker is stealthy as fuuuuuuck, I never would have thought of that. Might start looking around for one! Definitely subbed (if I knew how too haha)

Does the speaker still function? It would seem suspicious to have a speaker sitting around that doesn't actually work

haha no, I took out all of its components...
most people who comes over dont really notice it because I keep it under a desk, and when someone rarely does I just say it's broken down.
I actually thought about mounting a small speaker on it so it will actually make sound, but I dont know if i'll do it. maybe after my finals.
