Hello RIU community. I feel like this has been a long time coming as I've been following this site for many many years. This is my first attempt at indoor growing after years of successful outdoor harvests in southeastern US. Needless to say there are many differences lol. This is considered my mommy cab in which I have 1 critical kush and 1 random strain as a free gift from a seed bank. They are vegging under a lumatek lk400 ballast with a super sun reflector and 400w MH bulb, all from sunlight supply. Currently the ballast is dialed down to 250w SL and have been vegging in generic soil for maybe 5 weeks or so. The current reflector was just installed last night and replaced a DIY fixture I fabricated from PVC pipe and 8(x) 23w 6500°K sylvania CFLs with a 24" length of galvanized steel pipe zipped tied to the top to serve as a reflector. I am exhausting using a simple ecoplus axial fan rated for 112cfm because my dimensions are 1.5x2.5x2.5'...which is roughly 10 cubic feet. I jerry rigged a smaller [~30cfm] axial fan to blow over the 400w bulb, but removed the glass to allow all air to escape through the other side flange and out the axial exhaust. I realize it isn't exactly ideal but I worked with what I have. Since the light exchange the cabinet has maintained a 100% constant temp of 81°F @ 31%rh. Please feel free to comment, criticize, cuss, counterclaim, or any other c word you can think of as I am only here for knowledge, and here is where I have gained an abundance of it. Long live RIU!
