Ok im trying to set up a small personal grow. So heres my Idea...if their is any possible thing i can do to cut down on cost please let me know. I wanted to grow 6 plants in SOG in 1gal pots. I wanted to use a 150w HPS and was wondering if it would work for this space.

Stuff:
.dresser - 27.6in L x 14.6in w x 40.3in H
.150w Hps Digital ballast
-bulb (NOT SURE WHICH BRAND TO GO WITH)
-Socket
-Pyrex bake a round (for cool tube)
-light timer
-thermometer/humidity meter
-4in duct fan (intake)
-4in duct fan (outtake)
- 4in work hose duct clamps (5x)
-4in flange (2x)
-diamond foil
-6in clip fan
-Carbon filter (DIY) (any ideas?)

Nutes:
not sure what nutes i should use for this type of grow so give me some tips!

Seads:
Bubblicious FEM (should i go with autos or just reg fem sead?) (any other suggestions?)
if anyone has any tips or any input they would like to throw in feel free. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

diamond foil?

just use some white paint. foil is fine too but much more expensive than a 99¢ rattle can of matte white paint. may need 2 cans but shouldnt need much more than that. a roll of decent foil that will be durable enough to work with is going to run ya 5-6 bucks.

also not sure if you have a mogul base for your 150w but dont forget to think about that when building a DIY cooltube. might be less hassle to just buy a cheap one from amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Long-Glass-Cool-Reflector-Socket/dp/B005GGSW44/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1359656789&sr=8-1&keywords=cool+tube

has reflector built in it already so you dont have to fuck with any of that. might make your life easier at the cost of a few bucks..but hey you already saved some money by not buying a second fan!!

you should only need 1 fan, so you only need 2 clamps, you shouldnt need any flanges.....not sure why you would need them.

exaust-----> light (open end in your room) -------> ducting (if you need any cool tubes are not that small)------->carbon filter-----fan----->exaust

just out of curiosity, are you buying this 150w ballast or is it something you already have?

if your buying it how much are you paying?

You will likely run into root binding problems with 1gal pots.. I would recommend at LEAST 2 gallon pots for flowering... unless you plan on growing plants that are only 10 inches tall..... lol

i never really thought about the white paint good idea Retiredmatthebrute! I figured i would need at least a pc fan...hmmm would 2 4in intake holes be ok you think? Also good idea on the cool tube...maybe i can just find a nice (Small) air cooled hood instead. Im buying the 150w ballast off ebay for $80 from gotham hydro. ive checked that carbon filter out...pretty much where i got my idea frow just wanna make it a little bigger. thanks again

Really? I would very much like to see this! I would also like to see a side by side comparison with a plant grown in a 12oz cup.. vs a 2 gallon pot... I think most of the veteran growers on this site will agree that there would be a BIG difference in the size and yeild of your plants.. but like I said... its your 8 - 10 weeks... not mine... Im not saying it wont work.. Im just saying you are likely shooting yourself in the foot....

wasnt comparing a 12oz cup to 2gal pot. was just saying that its possible to grow a plant from start to finish in a cup. didnt event mention anything about comparing yield ....relax.
