Hey guys,

This is my first grow journal but my 4th grow using this setup. I'm growing legally for personal/recreational use and after 3 rounds of autos, I feel I've honed my technique enough to share it with the community.

I'm growing in a 2.5'(width) x 1.5'(depth) x 3'(height) Milliard grow tent inside of a cabinet that I fitted with a lock (my live-in girlfriend's parents can't find out I grow).

My ventilation system is a 4"x8" Phresh Filter (150 cfm) connected to an Apollo Horticulture 4" (190 cfm) inline duct fan, with insulated ducting leading out the top of the tent. I also have a 6" Lasko fan blowing across the tops of the plants at all times.

My light fixture is a Hydrofarm 2' T5 with 4- bulbs (2 @ 6500k and 2 @ 3000k) with an actual power draw of 75w. I am very limited for space, so I chose the T5 with low heat and limited vertical height in mind. I use LST heavily with my plants to create a very low, very uniform canopy in order to maximize the relatively small amount of light.

The plants I am growing are Dinafem Industrial Plant Auto CBD (1:2 THC:CBD) and Dinafem Haze Auto CBD (1:1 THC:CBD). They were soil germinated in their final containers (3 gal fabric pots) in Roots Organics Soil and sprouted on July 12th, 2016. Both pots are sitting on a bed of ~1" of expanded clay pebbles for improved drainage.

I fed both plants Be-1 organic fertilizer with some organic micronutrients/seaweed extract during week 2, and again in week 4. I've been watering roughly every 3rd day.

I'm hoping for 2 oz dried and cured (1 oz per plant), but that might be slightly ambitious at 0.75g/watt. We'll see what happens!

I've been thinking about switching to a p150 LED for my next grow (87w actual draw). I have two more of the same seeds, so it could be a cool "side by side" comparison of sorts.

I figure a 87w LED should (hopefully) perform better than a 75w T5...

I was thinking I could punch two small holes through the top of the tent and hang the light from the cabinet itself. That would give me a solid 24" between the plants and the bottom of the light in veg, assuming I keep training them low and flat.

Any thoughts?

Hi, nice setup for such a small place. I reckon you could do more with a bigger light as long as you keep it low but I Havnt seen the end result yet so you may not have room. I have something similar but just slightly taller, 1st time doing a small one so am hoping it yields at least 1.5oz each but have no idea what to expect tbh. I am used to more space! Good luck, apart from light I think you have made best use of space

Plants are on day 46 now.

Tried some heavy defoliation on the Industrial Plant auto to expose the lower bud sites to more light and fresh air flow. I was thinking I might leave the Haze auto as is for a comparison on bud size/yield between defoliated & "au naturel". My only concern is that the dense canopy might prevent air flow and allow powdery mildew/bud rot to get a foothold. Any thoughts??

Day 60:

Sugar leaves are turning yellow from back to front, starting at the edges. It's been gradually getting worse over the past week. At first I thought sulfur deficiency so I dosed them with some epsom salts 4 days ago, but since it's continuing to worsen I hit them with a light dose of nutrients today. pH of runoff is at 6.2 so I'm not sure what's going on...

I'm planning on letting them go 80 days so I still have plenty of time for a flush.

Any input?

I Havnt had the most experience in the world but could be too much nutrients?. I'm on the train but have a good book at home Jorges Cervantes indoor majiuana grow bible and it shows pictures of all the different leaf problems that you can get. Look for a pdf copy online. Sorry I couldn't be of any real help.

Ended up harvesting at day 68...the small sugar leaves and some calyx tips were yellowing so I decided to chop earlier than I was planning. Ended up getting ~20g dry bud plus ~20g dry sugar leaf/popcorn bud off each for a total of ~80g usable dry plant material.
