State Trooper let me go

So today I had a crazy experience that I thought I'd share with you guys about this nice state cop. I live in a state where marijuana is 100 percent illegal as well.

So, my girlfriend was speeding home with me as the passenger (she had to take a piss bad). I warned her to slow it down since I was carrying 5gs of weed in my pocket wrapped in 5 bags. Get pulled over, act really calm and respectful. The officer pulls us over and approaches the car, talks to us for a bit then points at me and says "I know you have cannabis on you, now you two listen carefully, I just want to know if your sober and okay to drive." Cop then checks our eyes then warns my girlfriend about speeding. The last thing he said to us was "You're lucky you guys aren't high".

I never actually admitted I had it on me but he obviously knew because the smell was so strong. So what gives? Is this a rare occurrence or was it the fact my girlfriend is hot as fuck and we were polite? Anyone else have similar stories?

For the most part I don't like cops. I have met a few nice ones.

I got pulled over as some friends and I pulled into the driveway. We had open beers and I threw a lit roach in the ashtray and closed it. The smoke was coming out as the trooper made it to my window.

He talked to us for a minute. He then told us he saw the beer and could smell it along with the weed.

He let us go. Told us to go inside and if he saw us back out that night we would go to jail.

The state trooper was doing something for which police don't get enough recognition for these days; HIS JOB, which is maintaining public safety as a number one priority.

Apparently this officer felt like there wasn't a threat to public safety and didn't feel like harassing you over a bag full of a harmless plant was worth the time away from his prime responsibility.

OTOH, Y'all who got pulled over in your driveway with open beers and a running joint just flat got stupid white boy lucky. You SHOULD have gotten a DUI, cuz yer dumb ass deserved it.

I don't condone drinking and driving. It wasn't my car. The reason I was driving is I hadn't started drinking yet. I did however open one.

I believe that is the reason he let us go. They wanted the owner of the truck. They had dealt with him before. I hadn't done anything wrong to get pulled over.

I was just making a point that it could have been worse.

It was stupid and many years ago. I think all of us made a couple decisions when we were young.

Are you white? Just curious.
I am white but that's not the reason I put it in my handle. The color white has a personal meaning to be. Bb is initials for a nick name and 2727 is a street address. I posted this in what's you handle mean thread.

On the flip side, even being white, I have face trumped up charges and had a cop flat out lie on a police report.

Long story short, you and your girl almost pissed the pants! I've been pulled with clones, i had to smash em up right there on the sidewalk with random people driving by looking at me like im some kind of fucking drug lord. I got let off, but i was fucking pissed lol! I've gotten let of plenty of times but also went to jail twice for possession of cannabis. Fucking stupid but eh, the law you know.

You still got lucky, lol and I can also be fairly accused of doing some stupid things in my youth. And more recently.

One time my friend from vegas was up visiting and we all got drunk and decided to drive to jack in the box to get food at like midnight. While we were heading there a car behind me was tail gating me with his brights on and I was just like wtf and moved my rear view mirror so I didn't have to deal with it, turns out the guy was just trying to tell me my lights weren't on lol. We turn onto this road and instantly got a cop behind me with his lights on so I pull over. He comes up to the window and says something like why are you driving without your headlights on. I literally just said I don't even know and laughed, I was fairly drunk, most likely over the legal limit and 3 shit faced passengers there is no way he didn't smell the alcohol radiating off of us. He just told me to turn my lights on and let us go. To this day I still can't fathom how we got off so easily, I honestly think the cop knew I was drinking because when I drink my face gets red as fuck, was very lucky. Drinking and driving is stupid

My friend still tries to convince me and jokes about that I said "I don't even know officer" but I deny it every time because I would never say officer

Got pulled over once. Forgot I had 2 grams on the seat. He laughed, gave me a light ticket, and called me stupid. I'll take that
