hello everyone!! First time ever asking a forum question, So if I make a mistake I'm sorry in advance.

I've been looking for a while and having a hard time getting a true awnser. I grew last year for my first time and I got started plants ready for outdoor and I did pretty well. I want to start my own seeds this year to get a better head start. My question is do I / should I use a grow tent to start my seeds and plants for about a month to month and half before the last frost is done here in Northern California. Can I skip a grow tent and just use a room in the house that I leave dark besides the grow light I'm going to use. I know how to germinate and transplanting and acclaimting it to the sun. But I'm lost as to a room / set up for somthing so short. Any advise will help me greatly!! Thank you.

If it was me I would skip the tent. Tents are important to avoid light leaks that might interfere with a flowering plant. If you are just vegging and are not trying to hide the plants I would skip the cost of a tent and use the room.
Another tip.
If you don't have or can't get the books use growweedeasy.com
If you can get the books:
Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible
or
Marijuana Grower's Handbook by Ed Rosenthal

Okay I'll get the books right now. thank you!
Great thing about those books is if you have a question about something in one of them a lot of us have read them and can always help. Also when you are willing to read the books other members are more inclined to help you.
Good Luck!

Okay that's really good to know thank you. They'll be here in a few days I ordered paperback so I can make notes and highlight better than on my phone.
