last year i made a raised bed about 2'x10' and was fairly sucessful with some of the crops and not so much with the others. I wanted to try again this year but have been very busy working and haven't gottten around to it yet. I have the week after next off of work and would like to start up the garden again but dont know what to plant. It seems too late for a summer garden and too early for a winter one.

I live in the south east and it has beenlow 80's to high 90's lately with lots of humidity and ocassional afternoon rain.

I'm wondering what i should plant now. I should be able to get some tomato and pepper plants from a friend but im not sure what i could start from seed now. Any advice?

Beans, Okra, melons, squash, pumpkin, peppers, tomatoes, peas, cucumber.. It isn't too late at all. just have to be much more attentive during the first few weeks with water since it is so hot. but once they are well established, it should be easy mode.

Other thing you might want to try, instead of seeds buy 4" or Gallon size veggie plants at your local nursery.. you should still be able to get some good veggies this later in the year..
