Started 5gal bubble bucket today...few questions

So i finally put together my bubbleponic 5gal bucket together today and fired it up....i have a dual outlet pump and 4 6" stones...works great lots of bubbles but its loud as a mother fucker....and i my bedroom is in the attic so its even louder downstairs....anyone know of any tricks to keep down noise from both the pump and the bucket?

You could hang the pumps from some chain or small rope or something? Thats what I've seen people doing, plus it keeps the pupms above the water line so they won't get any backflow from the res...

don't let the air lines touch the floor or the buckets...they vibrate a lot....

Insulate with a thick blanket.........or go to Home depot and get some carpet padding and duct tape to wrap your bucket.

Try putting the pump on a mouse pad.

The noise probably isn't as noticeable to others as it is to you.

get some rubber bungee straps,and suspend the pump, the rubber absorbs alot of vibration.makes it nice and quiet.carpet padding as mentioned will help too.

thanks for all the advice everyone...i ended up folding up a couple blankets and putting the bucket ontop of them...i didnt fold them too much its not wobly or anything dont worry....but it is a lot quieter downstairs...u can still hear a slight hum but its all good now
