i recently planted a germinated seed, after a few days it popped up and grew about 1/2"-1" for the first couple days. it looks almost exactly the same as it did 3 days ago???? im using a 160 watt flourescent tube in a closet.
It happens. The sprout has to establish a small root system before it starts to really grow. It's kind of like cloning in a certain aspect, the clone can't grow until it has enough root mass to support itself. At least that's the way I see it.
