The Powernap X Sinmint Cookies male {from my BIL} was close to ready last night. We've had rain all day, so not sure how it faired. I'll check on it in the morning.

Spring equinox is March 20. How much longer will you let them grow?
I'll just have to look at length of day as they progress, and keep a sharp eye on them. As long as the seeds mature, I'll be happy. And now I know December 1 is not early enough to be starting seeds. I put them outdoors on 1-19, at 6 weeks old. It took a couple weeks longer than I had figured to start flower. I think most of the broad leaf ones will have time. The CP1 X Slo2 might take 11 weeks. No way it will finish.

Forgot to mention cold on the way. Lows of 36, 32 and 35F for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Not sure what kind of protection I will use. Also have tomatoes and other plants at home to protect.

I have used rusty wire to make cages, but I still worry about them being seen. I use that smelly spray stuff. If you use it every couple of weeks, it does pretty good. But then I don't really have wild hogs to deal with. Not sure if it would detour them or not.
Hey man! Me again getting closer to planting time! I jist mixed up my soil for an in ground grow I used organic potting soil with cow manure and ammended it with espoma tomato tone, bio live, mother earth meal mix, mother earth bloom, and some rock dust. How do you think that is for my first super soil? It is currently in the ground cooking and will be there for over 30 days. Will the ph rise or lower?

It sounds good. You might want to add Epsom Salts to the mix, then add it with your food and water once you get going. I use a couple tbs per five gallons in every feeding. Also about half that amount of brown sugar.

I covered the plants Tuesday and Wednesday nights. It got down to 29F Thursday morning, but wasn't as bad this morning. I have some white frost cloth that I used the first night. I started on the PP and PPS patches right at dark. Finished up with STL using my headlight. Removed them as soon as it was good light the next morning. That white really made me nervous.

Most everything looked good. A few of the top buds were bent from the weight of the cover. This B&S X CP1 looked the worse for wear. {this picture is from this morning}

I got into the PP and PPS patches with food and water this morning. My truck has been OOC so, I'm late getting them tended.

This Big and Stinky X CP1 is taking after it's daddy. Smells like a MF'er. Also showing a little purple. The B&S X CP1 buds I cut from the fall/winter seed test are also purple. Will have to wait for next fall to find out if it's cold or genetics.
