ive done both diy and have had the same success rates with both.a member on here was talking about a disease or some shit that clones can get from dirty sprayers and warmer temps.being limited on space,i couldnt size up my tub so i tried the bubble set up and like it.Hey Ya'll Going to get clone machine and have run across 2 types, spray cloners that spray the water with submersible pumps and bubblers that continually bubble

I made a DIY bubbler cloner from a plastic shoe box and an aquarium pump and air stone and didnt have much luck.

how many tries have you given it? sometimes they die.im a complete noob at cloning and am getting 5 out of 6 cuttings to root.for me,its taking a little over 14 days to show roots.also depends on strains,i believe.i built a small 6 site rig.Thanks for all the response, a cloner of 9 or more is over kill for what I need. I like the looks of the Modular Hydro unit but their aireators (sp) are expensive to replace while spray tips are cheap but are used in larger units. Found one spray unit on ebay that had the pump on the outside of bucket to keep temps low. But hi price and really stupid shipping cost.
My veg room stays 72-79 during the year, I know that the size of the rez affects temp in sprayers, but if you run on a timer ie: 15 on 15 off how much would pump heat be a factor?
After my DIY failure I am skeptical of my success trying another
Definitely go with a bubble Cloner! You'll end up with leaks from the lid seams with the sprayers. The bubble cloners work awesome! Bubbles popping on the surface of the water create micro droplets that land on the stems, and keep them moist. One doesn't work faster or better than the other. It's just the leaking that's a huge pain in the ass! In order to do this, you have to make holes in the res and plumb both the inlet and outlet of the pump and thats just more spots to potentially leak. Plus thats more work and $$$ to just do the same thing a bubble cloner does naturally without the special plumbing or heat issues.Thanks for all the response, a cloner of 9 or more is over kill for what I need.
