Spider mites 7 weeks into harvest

Hello. I am 7 weeks into my harvest and I have just got back from a few days away to find that I have spider mites!

I have one plant and she is 44"h by 22"w. I have just sprayed her with 1:1 Rubbing Alcohol and water.

My questions are these:-
Because I am 1 week away from harvest should I cut off all the highly infested leaves to limited the spread?
Should I clean off the webs and mites from the buds with a Cotton swab or will I be damaging the trichomes?

Thank you for any help that you can give me.

Edit, sorry about this...tried to post a neem link for you and screwed it up...and now I cannot delete the message. At any rate, it's a bit late for neem oil, but works great to rid yourself of mites.

neem repel is good stuff they claim it can be used that late into flower i myself have used it 4wks into flower and it worked for my problem with was pm but i beleive that neem repel is good for other probs too like bugs.

Thanks for the replies. By the time I receive any treatments that I order online I will be ready to chop her down. Does anyone know of a good way to remove the bugs from the buds? Can they still be smoked? Thanks again.

I've sprayed dyna grow neem oil a week before harvest a couple years back. No problems with mold or taste... flowers came out just fine

I have given her a good vacume and sprayed her with rubbing alcohol and water mix. I have checked her trichomes and they are a mix of cloudy and clear so I am going to keep up this process and leave her for 1 more week. Thanks for all the advice.

for me if i was that close to harvest ad get a spray bottle and remove them forcefully with water, since THC doesn't dissolve in water. trics will stay relatively in tact. just do it every day and if there visible like the red spidy mite found in kenya, get some tweezers and take it off and try not to mess the bud

If your grow area is isolated from your living area, look up Hot Shots No Pest Strips.
Trust me there is nothing better to use this late in flowering.
These things kill every living thing in the room, (not the plants of course)
Nothing touches the plants themselves, there's no residual residue, and nothing is wetted down which could encourage mold.

They're 100% stress free to the plants and they work every time.

I have been fighting mites for months:finger:. I think I have tried most insecticides listed on many threads. (Might be why I have mold):wall:. But this is the first time I have heard of using pest strips. I had two on order from Amazon as soon as I read the words. I'm in a small greenhouse with good ventilation and I put fans on the plant with mold. Do you think it will work or maybe to much air flow.

i just killed a fat infestation with 91% iso alcohol in a spray bottle. turn off your lights before you spray, the bugs will die within 1-3seconds they dont even have time to run. the alcohol evaporated within a few min. spray generously.

my way costs about $1.99

Dirtysnowball, thank you for the tip. Can you use alcohol during flowering?
Low-cost is always good, but relative. Youth can do things that require much labor. At my age less labor is preferred and the cost of reducing that labor I gladly pay.
