Speed seeds?

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone else has bought anything from Speed Seeds. I just ordered four auto's from them. They seemed kinda inexpensive. The reason I ask is I'm currently having problems with a Kera White Thunder. She germinated quickly but when I put in the grow medium, the root wrapped around the seed and almost strangled her. It's not my potting method I've used it for years. I fixed her the best I could and she is looking better(maybe salvagable at best, kinda only want the strongest genetics, otherwise waist of time and money). Kera Seeds maintain this strain is a no brainer, fuck I have had less problems germinating rain forest tree seeds. Again a low budget seed. Not to say that the cheaper the seed the less viable it is because I've had great success with 80% of my seeds. However most have been from well known breeders. Anyhow enough bitchin. Has anyone else had similar problems like this? Any input would be appreciated.

I just germinated a Blueberry auto from Speed Seeds. She is in the potting medium and I'm awaiting for her to break ground. I got rid of the White Thunder seedling, she just wasn't strong enough. It's too bad she was to be my first attempt at scrog. I figure I'm so busy this summer I'll just take it easy, grow her out and this will let me tweek my drip bag irrigation system. I'll keep you all posted.

I'm currently growing a blueberry auto from Speed Seeds and so far it's been vigorous as hell. Check out my grow diary for pics. Very impressed as it has been the cheapest seed I have ever purchased at 2 quid!

Good to hear from you. My little Blueberry Automatic from Speed Seeds is also doing well. She's a little stinker. Inexpensive seed but very vigorous. I'm impressed so far. Do you have a link for your journal?

I've just bought 3 seeds, feminised, inexpensive at 2 UK pounds a seed. NLxLavender, NLxNL and Black DominaxBlack Domina. I came across this thread whilst Googling for more info on them. Will try them on my next grow.

My little Blueberry Auto from Speed Seeds didn't turn out, my fault, overwatered her trying to adjust my drip system. I moved on to a Northern Light Auto from Speed Seeds, six weeks in and full of flowers. I can't complain she's everything they described. I ordered a NL x Lavender, AK 47 Auto, Diesel Auto and a Amnesia Auto all from Speed Seeds for under $16.00. So far, so good. Quick germination and rapid growth, all in all, very impressed.

Here is some pictures of my Northern Light Automatic from Speed Seeds. Ten weeks in, two maybe three to go. I'm now a fan of Speed Seeds!

Hey Bret,

Nice to hear from you. I also tried to find additional information on the web and came up empty. I currently have a Diesel Auto from Speed Seed's about a week old, she seem's to be full of vigor. I have a ton of seed's, from reputable breeder's and tried a couple of them with good success, but this N.L. out shined them all! Good bang for you're buck. Here's a few picture's of her finished @ 13 weeks.

@sherman420 Can you post a smoke report on your Speed seed harvests? I recently made a seed order from the single seed center and ordered almost every strain speed seeds have because of the ridiculous low price of the seeds. I don't knock cheaper seed companies. I've grown northern lights auto by vision seeds (runs about $7.00 a feminized seed.) and it turned out awesome. I'm getting ready to harvest vision seeds Amnesia haze auto which also turned out pretty well.

Waiting for my seed order to get here, first up will be Purple cheese by auto seeds, but after that i'm gonna give speed seeds a shot. I ordered the following from them:

*Auto AK 47
*Diesel auto
*Blue berry auto
*Northern lights x Critical
*Black domina x bubblegum

I'm a micro grower so needless to say i won't need to order seeds again for a while

I had a Black Domina x Bubble Gum that did not germ, nor did one of their Diesel autos and one Berry Bomb.
I germed a ChemDog and it's the biggest, also a Tangerine Dream and it's OK but nothing like the dog.

I also have a BlueBerry Bliss auto that is already flowering at 3 weeks. I have a slow Berry Bomb reggie and a Blue Power that's small too, and last is a Northern Lights x Lavender. It's a litle small too.

Two years ago I grew a 7' Chemdog from GreenHouse and I vegged it 40 days and about 11 weeks flower and got 13 oz dry of totally narcotic bud that would put you on your butt and get you dizzy or worse if you didn't respect it. Hands down the most vigorous plant I've ever grown and I've grown a good bit.

I'll be cloning the dog again, and the Tangerine Dream. So far I'm not very pleased with the Speed seeds. I germed all those varieties mentioned at the same time, same conditions so this is a very good barometer for me to see the overall robustness and quality of a particular seed strain.

Looks lke I'll stay with my Chemdog and Tangerine Dream next round and have some berry autos for a variety but I think I'll try another seedband for my next blueberry or bubble gums.

Hey silv3rbull3t,

The smoke is fantastic! All my friends love this N.L. What a classic in an auto form. I also have bought pretty much everything Speed Seed's has to offer as well. I'm finding price certainly does not dictate the outcome of your grow! This seed company has it's shit together. I'm finding hard to find these seed's because everyone seem's to be out of stock. But yeah, you can't go wrong at $4.00 a pop. Currently, I have a four week old Diesel auto from Speed Seed's on the grow. She is going into stretch and full of pre-flower's. She is just gorgeous, full of vigor and promise. I'm also all about the micro grow. One plant at a time.

@sherman420 I agree with you. I just harvested my Vision seeds Amnesia haze auto at 75 days. Grown under a 90 watt led and 25 watt CFL. $7.00 beans, grew quite a bit of bud all things considered. I've grown Vision seeds Northern Lights Auto which was also very cheap, and produced very good smoke. Great buzz i'l be writing a smoke on the Amnesia Haze Auto as soon as she's cured for 2-3 weeks.

Hello everyone I hope I am not too late to contribute any useful information!. This is my first post but it is relevant as I am currently growing my first plant. It just so happens to be a Northern Lights X Northern Lights from SPEED SEEDS. I bought it for 4 dollars CAD and I am very pleased thus far.

I have no experience with growing. Placing the seed in a water cup for a few days does the trick. Once you've got a little white root you're good to go! I have been using these General Organics Bio nutrients I purchased and they seem to be doing the trick. You guys tell me what you think!

I find it awesome that Rollitup allows large, high rez photographs. If you zoom in well on my up close shot below, you can see trichomes! These photos were taken from my cellphone with an 8mp camera! I don't even think I need a microscope anymore! Please let me know what you guys think of my plant it's the first time I grow anything.

This plant is 11 weeks old. I switched the identical 6400k bulb to 2700k 250 watt, 15,000 lumens CFL about three weeks ago to initiate flowering. Please give me suggestions and constructive criticism if you can as I am a complete amateur at this.

Mr. Sherman420, I am absolutely blown away by the pictures you posted those buds are huge! May I ask what size room that plant is grown in? As you can see in my previous post, my plant is very small but so is my grow space. I ask myself, how long does it take to grow a big mama like the ones you showed us? One day I hope to grow a big one like that! Way to prove all the CFL haters wrong with that....

Thank's for the kind word's.That plant is gorgeous! Good job my friend. My box is small, 2 1/2 x2 1/2 x 3 feet (or something close to that). That plant (above) was only about twenty inches tall. Your grow space look's awesome. You can really maximise your light foot print by training your plant's(I see you have a scrog setup). However that was not the case with the plant pictured above as she was an auto. Seem's like your on the right path, that plant of your's is going to be a stunner! The growing media I use is Schultz Potting Mix. It seem's to work for me, most say not to use it, they also say CFL's are no good but I think we have proven them wrong. Check out this site(below) I learned so much from Nebula and Sirius. Also, I gained valuable experience from the fine people here at R.I.U. I've lost my share of plant's in the past, we would'nt move forward and get better at our craft if we did'nt make mistakes.

I'm really glad I found this website. Didn't even know these kinds of forums existed. My box has dimensions that are practically identical to yours. I was wondering, if you don't mind me asking, whats the biggest yield you've ever gotten from a plant in that box? I'm hoping to get an OZ but I don't know if that is unrealistic. I know there are a lot of variables involved but my plant is small and I'm curious to know what you've been able to yield in a similar sized box.

Nice looking plant. I think an ounce is easily attainable. My first grow was Northern lights auto by vision seeds. I had a similar grow set up to you (micro grow using a smaller box, 90 watt led lights) and despite nute imbalances, watering issues, initially having temp issues and switching the lights to 12/12 due to high temps my northern lights yielded about 3/4 of a ounce. That strain is super tough and produces great. The dimensions of my box are (25.5"x23.5"x18").

I currently have a speed seed diesel auto that is about a week old growing in a tiny pot (as a small side plant for my current grow). Wanted to give speed seeds a shot. I'll let you guys know how it comes out.
