Hello,
some weeks ago nevergoodenuf made a post about that device(MSC15) in this forum, after i saw that i called the company to got some informations. Then i decided to buy it, since a week i got it.

The device came with a little bag, software(CD), short usb cabel (to use software and charge the battery) and calibration certificate.

the measurement sensor is integrated in the device itself, you can see in the picture which i post, it has no external sensor like some other par meters.
The integrated sensor can be a disadvantage if you wanne do some measurement under a bright light im not able to read the display. But i can connect the device with a long usb cabel(5meter) to my computer and can read then the measurement even more detailed, i post a picture.

The device you can controll via touch screen, pretty simple. If you guys have some question please ask

Today i prepared my tent for some measurements, which i will share today later.
I have 4 * 4 gorilla tent. I will test cxb 3500k @0,7A (500watt), to make a nice footprint with many measurement points. I will test them maybe at higher ampere too, need to check what driver i have left.
Then i will test some mono led panels(osram) and some days later i will test a panel with citizen clu58-1825 2700k 90cri.
I will share all details as soon i have them.

im really looking forward to these test

What K temp cobs do you have to test? only 3500k?

I would like to suggest that you run the cobs at full blast(circa 50w) for testing as current can in some leds change spectrum- so that would be a better representation of what we use in the grow

If time allows multiple Amps from low to high and measuring in cubic points ie. xyz coordinates.

Thanks for taking the time to share this stuff, it's how people like me amass knowledge.


Do you mind stating what price the device was?

ok i prepared now my tent for a measurement, the light is cxb 3500k @ 700ma (20cobs).
The light use 511Watt from the wall(9watt for fans+fandrivers).
I have to say it was a big horror to hang all the lights at the same high, i was not able to hang them all 100% at the same high.
But i gave my best, at the end its now +/- 1,5cm difference :/

First measuremeant footprint will be at 60cm from the lamp, 2nd measurement footprint will be 30cm from the lamp.
But now im very hungry, i need to eat first :hump:

so that take long time,i finished the 1st footprint. the light is cxb 3500k @ 700ma (20cobs).

So next footprint at 30cm distance like i said, but this i can finish after work in 9-10 hours :/

that was the first thing, what i was testing.
In the picture which i post, you can see a lamp which use 3*cxb 3500k @ 1400ma. in the 2nd picture you can see the same light but dimmed down to 1V(with a 1-10Vdimmer ). I cant see big difference in the datas.

hm, i didnt even noticed that tab, here are the same 2pictures from "post#13" but now you can see the CRI tab
Super sweet, that's what I was hoping.

I had to see the footprint. Keep in mind the colors you choose for that type of conditional coloring can make the hotspot look terrible or great. I chose a middle path, but it still might be overemphasizing. I have no idea what I'm doing :)

Malocan. If you could by chance do a simple test with only a few metering points
Of any difference from a fully reflective area vs anything less.

Fully reflective as in white or silver floor ceiling and walls vs the normal non reflective floor and ceiling. Facing the meter up of course. Just interested to know actual numbers benefit of a high reflection ceiling and floor and walls.

By eye fully reflective ceiling and floors seems super bright. But knowing plants light receptors are only on the top of the leaves I wonder if there's much benefit.
