It's quite simple, according to the Bible a marriage is between a man and woman whom come together as one. The woman came from man, and through the marriage are coming back together to be completed. Therefor, the marriage cannot happen. this applies to any same sex couple trying to get married in a Christian ceremony.
lol, so much for your repeated assertions that you don't base your bigoted views in silly religious superstitions.

i guess you don't support civil rights or marriage equality.

well I don't think the religious order has a say in these matters as this is a state issue, do I think gay men and wome should marry in a Christian church? No I don't, and why would they want to? But should they have all the same rights and responsibilities as a heterosexual couple yes I do. I only say no to a Christian wedding because the church has not evolved enough to accept gay unions, does God hate gays no, do a lot of christians hate gays oh yes they do. My whole point is who are we to judge people? Does not God judge us all at the end? Will God reject you because you didn't love everyone and judged them for their sins whilst acting pious and ignoring your own? We can't just love those who are the same as us we must love everyone and especially the ones society shuns because as a Christian that's what Jesus would do. He washed the feet of philistines, prostitutes and criminals and recruited the lowest from society to be his disciples. He said
34 r“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. sI have not come to bring peace, but a sword.35 rFor I have come tto set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.36 uAnd a person's enemies will be those of his own household. 37 vWhoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 wwhoever does not take his cross and xfollow me is not worthy of me. 39 yWhoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
in other words you must reject what those around you say if it is not the path of Christ, you must turn away from those that pervert the scripture whether it be family or friend, even if it costs you everything! That's what a Christian is and yes that means defending gays, and anyone else that is oppressed and discriminated against
I agree whole heartedly. What's funny is this entire thread took a wrong turn as soon as I said I was a Christian conservative with some libertarian beliefs. Some here read Christian, and brought the bashing full force. I gave it a few posts to clean up, but it got worse. That's when my smart ass side comes out. Anyway, great post! Unfortunately, I still don't have the wisdom to not be a smart ass!

On a side note, why did you not become a priest?

Because I discovered I could not be faithful to God through abstinence and chastity, I met a girl and wanted to be a father more than I wanted to be a father lol. I had a brief stint studying to be a pastor in a baptists church but the ideology was a bit too extreme and heavy on fear, fire and brimstone for my liking, I also realised that if God could be wrapped up in a package and defined that he was too small for me and that God loved everyone the same not just this group or that one, which led me to look into Judaism and Islam, guess what it's all the same Judaism is the grandmother, Christianity the mother and Islam is the child but all three spring from the same source, only difference being is they are still waiting for the messiah and see jesus as a prophet and a martyr

You truely are incapable of comprehending English.

Key word of the day: views

Used in a sentence: I have some libertarian views.

Ok children, please sit down and Google "libertarian views"

ZOMG, libertarian views and libertarian are two completely different things!!! Thanks google!

belittling you is an impossible task. you are way too large for that.
So I'm wondering why all the agressive mean spirited comments? can't you get your point across without being rude to people and insulting them or is this is how we behave on RUI now?

The mean comments are reserved for the truly closed minded, the obtuse and the dishonest posters. Sometimes a person can be all 3
