Yeah, finally!
I already have a Sonoff switch on my *bay watch list for a while now, 5,90$, but wanted to know some things about it before buying. But the first page of this useful thread already answered all my questions, so many thanks, guys!
As ever, you are the best!
Now I never gonna get up again, LOL!
It's so cool to control all your lights from your TV chair and very useful for home automations.
Any links there?
Where did you guys get the Sonoff with temperature sensor, what does it cost and do you have a link to hand?

The price of not even 6$US per Sonoff is ridiculously cheap for the features they offered. When they switch a relay, I see no reason why they should not hold like any other good time switches.
Will they fit it in all my lamps? Yes, I'm sure! They are a lot smaler than traditional timers.

Actually, I wanted to have my UVB tube on a separate timer (like growmau5 on his QB rig), but the sonoffs makes it a lot easier and it looks so much cleaner without such a big timer. The Sonoff can be hidden in the driver housing and is still reachable as long as you not totally cut the wifi connection.
I love these thing already, even though I've only seen what you guys have shown us.
Exactly on something like that I have waited since a long time.
And thanks again for presenting them here.

Edit.
F***! Overlooked the link in the opening post, Lol!

Sorry to jump in this thread...
Can you pm me?
I can't message you for some reason...?
Thanks mate

noe, how? you just interrupt the hot line with it
maybe you can put it on the dimming leads then when its off you get 100%(lead open) and when on you get you're dimming the way you set it (pot/resistor)
im not sure its possible as it suppose to be a ac device .
thanks

edit;probably cannot be used on the 1-10v leads

Isnt it possible to dim lights through it?

Not out of the box, since indeed it only does switch a line on/off (some models have additional working modes). Apparently it does work with both AC and DC. The chip can probably be reprogrammed for PWM dimming as in the end it is a ESP8266. These are really cheap, so it´s worth experimenting, and the postage price pushed me into getting more than I thought I would.

How many psu(hlg 320h-c) do you think i can connect to one switch ?
The cold start is 70A and meanwell sagest 3 psu for 16A(230v ac) type c breaker.
Can this take the cold start current for more than one psu?

70A? That does not sound right. I think these boards are not rated for over 3A, and as you mentioned house circuits are usually 15A-20A. Scroll down this page and you will see the available models and their power ratings. https://www.itead.cc/smart-home/sonoff-wifi-wireless-switch.html

With the single gang model being less than US$5 each, you could perfectly get one per driver. Just be careful not to exceed the capacity of your circuit (which you have to be even if you do not use this type of equipment). Remember to check what else is connected to the circuit you plan to use (TVs in other rooms, etc.).

no ,el patron :D
I ment for the inrush current(cold start) of the hlg320h-c wich is 70A for 1200 micro seconds at 230v .
data sheet:
http://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=HLG-320H-C
Thats why its not recommended to put more than 3 power supply on 16A breaker type c (2 for type b).
The same way you don't plug an hps to a cheap timer even if its rated for the consumed power, the timer will fray after some time dew to the large inrush current.
the simple sonoff is rated for 10A max
thanks

I run the 320h-c series...i can run one no troubles..im sure more would be fine.

I also have the 16a rated 'POW' sonoff connected as my mains power to the room. Running 4 x 320h-c ...all switching on at the same time

Hey guys, could you help me please. I want to connect everyhing with a sonoff now, to tidy up my electronic cab, and get rid of all the plugs and power strips, and so on. Goal is to get it all real clean!

Power use of my growing will be checked by SONOFF POW.

So I have 4 MW driver, which I would like to put on SONOFF 4CH.

My exhaust fan will be controlled by SONOFF RF, so I have the remote key at my door, for unexpected visitors.

So far I am fine....

But now I would like to run all my air fans (12V computer version) over a SONOFF 4CH PRO...

... because I have too less knowledge, I would like you to check my plan:
- powered by HLG-40H-12B (dimmable between 7.2-12V and 3.3A) https://www2.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Mean-Well/HLG-40H-12B/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMt5PRBMPTWcaRTgZe1UVjfllZe61tNtiJw=
- dc power plug (male), is it important, which one I take here? http://vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=171747410529&t=1507785973000&tid=10&category=48637&seller=lucky.warm&excSoj=1&excTrk=1&lsite=0&ittenable=false&domain=ebay.com&descgauge=1&cspheader=1&oneClk=1&secureDesc=0

So now I should be able to run 4 single parallel circuits, with a total of 11 fans (1 needs 300ma). Just for clearance, now I could run 1 fan on channel 1, 2 fans on c2, 3 fans on c3, and 5 fans on c4 for example, and all would get 7-12V, right?

Is it a problem to have several sonoff‘s in line (as far as I don‘t exceed 16A of the POW)? So for me there would be the energy supply connected to POW, connected to 2x 4CH, 1x 4CH+ and 1x RF, connected to all the consumer load .

Thanks alot!

If you use the POW only as a power cost calculator, it should not be a problem.
But if you switch the POW off all other Sonoff's are powerless. I do not know if and how long they run without electricity. They should keep their programming, but they may have to sync with the network if you are disconnected them from the power for a long time.

Yeah, thanks. After posting I found it already written just a little above...

But relating to the sonoff 4ch pro and 12V fan controlling, will this work as expected?

Edit: ahh missed the link... https://www.itead.cc/sonoff-4ch-pro.html

what's your use case for this? and how do you turn off the driver completly? second sonoff for the power supply?
Nope, with another channel. There are 4 which can be used separately.
If driver channel would be on, but poti/resistor-channel is out, you would get 10% output.
If poti channel is "on" you can dimm via poti.
You could use the 10% for half an hour sunset/dawn for instance and when the poti channel switched "on" you would get the light level set via poti.
