(somewhat off topic but) why no swap meet/yard sale board?

i get the advertiser driven site, but we all have stuff not being used around here. wouldnt it be cool if we could post up used gear for sale or trade to others? maybe if there was community support for such an idea, mods would consider

The short answer is that the owner and our lawyers advise us it's not safe
What's legal for some is not legal for others as we are world wide website

Advertisers have their own lawyers etc
Where as users fall under our liability

We also cannot be responsible for people who do botched deals

At the end of the day it's easier for us to cover our butts but also keep our users safe and anon

Support is where this thread belongs you can read the many threads on this topic there
This question has been asked and answered for several years now

Too add to all that
Selling trading gifting hook ups etc are not allowed on the forum and are a bannable offence if we have to remind users more than once
