The Ak47 and Blue dream are really big. It is hard to estimate the cola size on the tops that are on the ceiling. It will be fun to cut them down and see. LOL

probably have the cabinet all chopped down before Saturday. Got a grill finally too! woot!

I am putting together some new ideas. I am thinking I am going to build a DIY Cree 3070 fixture for the tent. My goal is to get close to a 300+ watt fixture. I am not 100% what I am doing but I have soldering experience and have dabbled in electronics my whole life so I think I can manage it.

CREE CXA 3050 100 max watts. (I have heard they drive at about 40%???) 40w eatch??

I would need some sort of Case to start from and will need some CPU heat sinks and fans. I am thinking a foot print of 18" x36" for my tent setup. I am figuring I will be up to 600$ for the light when its said and done. Probably wont happen for a while but I will design it and piece meal it together. I am sure I could find some parts for cheaper here and there and save that way too. If I am able to build it and grow successfully I will have a master plant o go all LED. Seems like the electrical savings is too much to ignore for me and I have seen some great buds grown with LED panels.

Id recommend buying your heat sinks from china ASAP because theyll take a solid 2 weeks haha.

I responded in that thread. Pretty much inspired by that but will probably set myself up a little different. That would be great to run two lights like that in 2 4x4 tents packed to the gills.

This does not look hard. I think I will end up doing 6 3000k cxa3070 and 3 5000k cxa3070. It is a chunk of change to drop though. Maybe the build will be my xmas present this year. It would be so nice to run two 500w led tents.

Hell yeah its a dream! Such little heat. I just threw in my AC like a week ago becaue outdoor temps were gettin up into the 80s for a few and will probably continue after the rain leaves. But with my old set up i would have to put my AC in by early march.

Also grow room is on the second floor so not as cool as your average basement grow.

Good luck savin the money! Maybe just buy it in parts. They have deals on random things at random times and if you can find good bin# LEDs itd be hard not to get em!

I know you will enjoy them. The JOG and SOG are from before I sprayed the plants with the caterpillar killer. That stuff is in the racks and will probably go in the trash. Doesn't smell right. I am looking forward to putting some caramel in my coffee tomorrow!

Woot! I have just been hitting oil for a while. Think I am gonna go out to the shed and pull out some flowers now.. LOL the shatter is awesome and the scissor hash was tasty too. I think I have been pretty lifted all day. LOL

Damn SG you are killing it! How are you liking the tent setup? How would you rate in comparison to
your DIY box, temps, humidity, light coverage?

Welcome back stone! My box is stll better because its 600w and ac cooled.. LOL But the tent is great and doing good with the 400w in there. I plan on building a cree led fixture or fixtures and trying to go LED in the tent by the new year. We will see. If it works out I may ultimately end up doing two LED tents and still use less wattage than I do now.

I am not lacking in bud these days though. We had a get together here and there was quite a bit of party favors left for me. PLUS i just harvested anywhere betweeen 8-10oz from the cabinet. I will know for sure in a few days or so.

The tent I expect a minimum 8oz from also. That is still several weeks away from chop chop right now.
