Some advise please

2 part question. I've posted on here before and got some good advise so thank you people. I'm a first time grower and am just figuring this lark out. If you look on the tips of this plant the leaves are
going yellow, brown is this just a case of over watering? I'm thinking it is but i've got my doubts. Also are the stems too skinny? Please help.

Part 2 question. I've been growing my plants for 14 days now and had been told that they were on the small side of average. They only had 4 leaves each 2 serrated and 2 normal. I had been growing them under a lamp (yes I know ) Anyway i've not got a lot of funds to afford all the fancy stuff but I bought 6x20 watt cool daylight bulbs 2 days ago (I couldn't find a place that stocked higher watt bulbs of that kind any advise would be ace) back to the point. The change iwas pretty much imediate they now have 3 sets of leaves now,and starting on the 4th

I'm just wondering if I were to leave the same bulbs in would it grow steadily or would I have to change bulbs to a higher watt to see any further progression. I'm giving them 24 hours light and watering them 2-3 days and feeding them twice a week. By the way how does the progress look in general. do they look weak or just fine considering what stage I am at with the equipment i'm using.

Thank you for your time.

They are too small to be giving them nutes ,, I'd wait till they grew a little more .. Are you using CFL's or daylight LIGHT BULBS ?

Also I would get them out of those cups now ... Foil is not your friend .. Lose it

You're going to need some more light once they get a lil bigger. You have time so if the place near you doesn't stock what you need, order online. As for the yellow leave..I wouldnt trip too much on that. Water your plants sparingly, over-watering is an epidemic. You should get a soil tester if you can afford one.

It is kinda small. You sound transplant that baby and make sure you fill the container up with soil. You're setting yourself up to ge root bound. Do not give it nutes it too you. It'll get nutes from you soil. It also wont get bigger untill u get more light on her..

For the time being yea ,, Start looking for some Red spectrum Cfls for flowering (they are the ones that say ''Soft White" )..

If you dont have alot of room get a small hps system like a 250watt. I think that would be better. You cant beat a ballast setup. Ohh and watch using clear containers your root wont like the light. And if you dont have one get a ph meter, and a temp gauge

Coolidge. When do you think I should start flowering then? I know it won't be for a while yet. I have a load of Warm white will these be of use at all?

They are the same as the soft white I think .. look for the color spectrum on the package .. you want red ,orange. if you have the room for big plants let them vegg a while .. If you want them short and bushy you can top them and try some LST( Low stress training ) Read all you can .. Good luck I would at least wait till you have 4 nodes (levels of growth) before topping or inducing flowering
