If what I smoked was actually Soma's NYC Diesel, it is amazingly potent and tastes like grapefruit.
One of my absolute favorite smokes of all time and I hope to be able to grow it when I become a little more advanced and invest in
some of Soma's genetics. NYC Diesel will def be the first strain on my list to get from Soma.

I have possessed an ounce of NYCD before and can speak from experience. Grapefruit might be one way to describe it, but to me, it was kinda like a musky lemon. It definitely smells like a citrus/diesel fuel. While i didn't much care for the fuel like aoroma of the fresh weed, the smoke tasted smooth and good with hints of citrus. Bag appeal was awesome. I gladly paid $400 for the ounce almost a year ago, have considered growing it, will jump when it is on a promo somewhere.

if your saying the flower time is too long for you have you considered the diesel ryder auto
i grew a 3 pack out, 2 of them where pants and blatently took after the lowryder.
the 3rd pheno was the diesel dom had a sweet smell of raw graperuit/mandarin and was some nice smoke

also if you try google youll find some smoke reports on the soma nycd

Not all indicas have short flowering times. The reason we see so many Indicas with short flowering times is due to selection and breeding there are landrace indicas that can take 12 weeks to finish. It is true that indicas in general have shorter flowering times than sativas but some sativa's can take 6 months to flower. That being said, when your dealing with hybrids it's all about how the genes present themselves. I have a couple plants that are 75% indica but they look like sativa's. It's not always cut and dry and not all indica's are the same as well as sativa's.

As Stonedmetalhead said, not all fruits ripen at the same time....while most indicas have a short flower time, and most sativa long, there are exceptions.... NYDR took right at 11-12 weeks for me....earthy, musky, citrus.......
