Soil grower, thinking about buying airoponic cloner, questions?

Fuck...well once again Superstoner you are right and now one of the timers doesn't turn on when it's supposed to.. Just dropped another $117 on 2 c.a.p. ART DNE recycle timers. This is like the 3rd time you've given advice just as a potential disaster was narrowly averted- thanks again - please disregard my previous posts... these cheapass timers are get what ya pay for

Why would you need more than one timer? I run 6-7 pumps(633gph and 1033gph) all off a single cap timer by using the timer to trigger a relay. By doing this it takes the initial surge of power from start up away from the timer and doesn't overload it.

Before you buy anything in hopes of boosting your 50/50 success ratio you'd be better off mastering cloning , im not trying to come off as a dick but ive found that buying things like machines & fertilizers to fix a problem rarely if ever pays off , a 50% ratio is extremely low , if it were me i'd start off using a $5 humidome with a $5 bottle of rooting powder & work on getting success ratio around 95% before i spent any more cash .

I gave up using my aero cloner & went back to using "Root Riot " brand sponge plugs instead , not because aero cloners dont work or i wasnt getting high results , for me aero cloners are too fast & developed root structures that were not what i prefer for SOG , mediumless flood & drain zero veg style growing , quicker isnt allways better .

Why settle for 95%? That's a 5% failure. If you lose any cuttings something is wrong, the only ones (2 or 3) I have lost over the years were my fault from wrong sprayer adjustment or dropping something on them.

Still takes almost 3 weeks. Should I raise the pH a little or should I just have to deal with a strain that takes a little longer??

PH has absolutely nothing to do with rooting and is a waste of time and chemicals. PH affects nute uptake VIA the roots only. I use straight 7.1 city tap with many different strains and none take longer than 11days.

Many of the woody stem type strains take a long time to root. Almost everything from the OG Kush line takes twice as long as the other soft stem varieties.

PH has little to do with rooting, it's mostly genetics. I'll have 20 different strains in the exact same cloner and some will take 4 days while others will take 2 weeks. Anything taking longer than 2 weeks I usually toss unless it's something really special.

Superstoner , the 95% ratio is for somebody having problems cloning , it's also a respectable number for large scale grow op's where large woody mother plants are used .
I still think buying equipment in hopes of increasing sucess rates is going backwards .
