How bigs your room? how many LED you got going? I am planning on running a 450 watt in a 78"x56"x84.5""

Should I go up to 750 watts of actuial LED?
yes, I would use 4 RW 150 for your area. U really need around 6-7 hunred watts from wall for your grow. with the 4 panels you can put the light where u want it. or 8 RW 75 or a mix . hope it helps out

I have heard black dog are just rebranded marshydro, but they actually recommend (BD), something like 40-60 watts per sqft, which is similar to hps, so you could potentially get good yield/space if you follow the recommendation. Most LED growers I've seen top out at 35watts per sqft. I don't think that's enough light

Hmmm, so what does that mean in laymen? Or are you saying, actual draw, (e.g. KIND XL 1000), 650 watts?
Thats enough for 13 plants? I’m testing the Kind, mike look into a few newer ones, one has a buyback program LUMITEK, BUT THE SOL 9 and Solistek 1000 not out is at $2899 and if people use the KIND, in a room like gorilla tent, would you replace with the orca material?

Thanks!

I'm saying actual draw, LED grow lights might be 10-15% (offhand from memory) more efficient than HID in power output and they don't have the same penetration strength.

Plant count is irrelevant - depends on how long you veg, you'd ideally just want a full and even canopy.

Never grew weed, just interested in the technology - so I'm not sure what orca material is. From a cost/benefit analysis you'd have to compare the initial cost of the LEDs vs the initial cost of HID + bulbs over the same lifespan. Then you'd have to account for same 10-15% in increased cooling costs or decreased yield. At that point you can decide if it's worth it. Other factors may be limited headroom where you don't have enough space for HID.
