SOG organic?

Hello, new here and to growing in general.

I am planning my first grow and would like to start with doing it organic. I was also wanting to attempt sea of green grow.

How would you set up an organic sea of green grow? Are there any special considerations? Soil mix? Feeding?

I have a 4x8 tent with 2 600 watt HPS bulbs. Just ordered some seeds and will probably need a light for a mom/clones (probably T5).

Thanks for looking

I breed in SOG method organic with tiny plants in 5 liter fabric pots. I change things up depending on how sensitive strains re but usually i use a base soil with compost neem seed meal, kelp meal and bat guano all in minute amounts especially the guano. I put about 1 liter of recycled soil thats richer than the base at the bottom fill with base soil and put in small 1 week old well rooted plants. Top with hummus as much as the pot allows and plants a re fine foro like 1 monthish sometimems more. Tea every few waterings and maybe water with neem seed meal to avoid going around top dressing so many plants.
I reccomennd this if you want to breed cause you cann grow amazing quality weed and shit loads of specimens organically but it definety doesnt produce a lot nor is it the best way to experience the plants growth and structure, but i breed mainly for scent and sometimes potency so dont really care. I only get at most half ounce a plant on good yielding crosses.
With the males that get chucked after about one week or two of being in those pots i use it as base soil for growing bigger plants.

Find a good organic soil with beneficial bacteria and fungi to support root growth... As far as feeding goes I used Age Old Organics Grow/Bloom as my base nutrients for outdoor with great results for supplements during veg I used General Organics Cal Mag with Age Old Grow during flowering I used Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy, Sensizym, and General Organics Cal Mag with Age Old Bloom... Proper pH is crucial invest in a pH pen if you don't already have one you will want to make sure your fresh water and nutrients say between 6.3 and 6.7 I like to balance mine to 6.5

true natural organics doesn't do well in sog. Organics / water only soil mixes do better in larger pots. With 7 gal being the minimum. Sog in a soil bed could work well though.

True organics is using dry nutrients and teas. No bottled nutes. All the bottled nutes are full of chems even the ones that claim to be organic like botanicare, general organics, age old, vegamatrix, fox farm etc... You want make a super soil or cootz mix or come up with your own. Worm castings are the best thing for your plants.

Pretty difficult thing to do, a SOG using true organics. I would suggest rethinking your approach unless you plan on breeding. A SOG is pretty muchthe most labor intensive type of grow and like hyroot says is very difficult to keep viable populations of microlife going in such tiny pots not altogether impossible by any means just not whatvid suggest for a first grow.

i was just going to mention that, a SOG would be much better suited for a soil bed, as opposed to pots, only issue with that is that it is a bitch to be able to attend to the plants, it's not like you can pick the plant up to inspect it for bugs/mold/whatever, not to mention it's more crucial to have a perfect soil mix too, as it's much more difficult to adjust anything on a huge soil bed.
that being said, if i were to do a SOG with organics, i'd do a soil bed.
i mean, hell, if it were possible, i'd grow in a bed EVERYTIME. but it's just not practical, i need to spray my ladies with different sprays (aloe, tea foliers, plant extracts, and preventative pest management) my growing area simply isn't suited for a soilbed, but damnit i want to, some of the best outdoor plants i ever grew were in a ginormous patch of amended soil

i was also going to mention that a SOG isn't really suited for seeds, more so for clones, for their uniform growing attributes/tendencies/nute preferences etc.
I'd grow those seeds out, find the phenol(s) you like, and then clone those to make the next SOG.
