So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

I love predatory helpers. BTI, Hypoaspis Mites, Nematodes, jumping spiders... What a party!
I get the big spiders! I would like to try the predator thing. I was doing a perpetual grow deal for a while. I changed it up, grew bigger plants to put outside. we'll see what happens, I only have so much space. I'm on a one grow a year kick if that makes any sense to you.

I used it on one soil batch, since I recycle it is permanently alive or in spore form. I can see it grow on my compost covers lol. It is the mushroom farmers biggest enemy, it eats other fungi. But it also does what all mycorrhizal fungi do which is increase root surface and aid water and nutrient absorption. And yes, forget about root rot. Matter of fact it colonies phyllosphere too so goodbye bud rot too. @Javadog called it 'the borg'
Yes....LOL....it is weird to a mycologist, to hear people wax poetic on
the Love of Trichoderma.

To us it is "trich" or "forest green mold" and it is what foils our efforts most often.

For hydro, I thought of using acid-loving bacteria.....isn't trich a soil additive?

Good stuff indeed!

and I do. I use great white all the time. and I know how to mae teas especially bacterial dominant teas since that is what hemp really likes is bacterial dominated teas then I add the great white to that for an extra kick in the face. I use straw in my tea recipie to make sure I have a diverse population oif bacterial and fungus growth but more bacterial since my fungus gets inncoculate din a contqainer two days before the brew starts to mamek the fungus bigger

Seems you are well jacked for advice then :-)

...that you have your facts ready....that is all....

If you know bacterial teas, then you know the idea that I was suggesting
and if you have the mycology down then that is that.

We failed to connect these techs to repairing root rot: your question.

Take care,

JD

Don't eat the manure

my first release from the Bokashi bucket. SInce i havent seen this EVER, how does it look? its kitchen scraps and its been going a week maybe a few days more.
I added it full strength to the StardawgF2's to see what happens!!

Just kidding, i put it in with 5 gallons h20 and gave it to the raspberries outside to see what happens.

but i am still pumped to see my first results come out of the bucket, and hoping to see the bottles slowly disappear, guess my hydro store owner wont like that much, lol.

Does it stink? It shouldn't. That's a good sign that beneficial bacteria are in abundance if there is little to no stank.... which is the whole point of bokashi.

Good call testing it out on the raspberries though! :-)

it dosent smell at all, maybe a hint of garbage but that could have been me back from work, lol.
ya the raspberries are my everything testers. New soil, new nutes etc...they are crushing it every year. They get my old dirt from all the old grows i save during winter when i cant throw it out, my neighbors were curious what i did to get htem big....I gave them some of my bat guano and turned them onto EWC and now they are growing tall stalks of berries, 8ft+ right thru the roof of their outdoor screen cage.
