So, I'm comming out of retirement. New setup.

I'm starting up again, nothing big just 3600 watts. instead of running three 1,000 watt raptors I'm thinking of running six 600 watt lights with decent size hoods 2 lights per table with 9 plants in 5 gallon buckets under each light.now I was even thinking of going to 7 gallon pots instead of 5 any opinions on that? Do you think I would see much of a difference if I veged them longer in a 7 gallon pot? I'm thinking I'll get more of a light spread with two lights on each table instead of one and also the extra 200 watts per table won't hurt. All ideas welcome.

before I was running 2 houses with ten 1,000 watt lights in each house. it was so much work. So 3600 wats will be a walk in the park. I use a 1/2 hp water pump in a rez attached to a wand so I can just mix all my nutes and water the plants, would take me like 15 minutes to water everything. dope.

I have never ran 600s but I have always wanted too.

that sounds ideal. run one table in 5s and the other in 7s and see what you get out of each.

I think in a 7 gallon pot if I veged them longer under the 600's I would pull more but it's all about how much space the pots take up on the table. cause to have to run all 6 lights 18/6 might eat into the cost of the electric. if I could somehow veg with only 3 of the lights that would be only 1800 watts. I guess I could have extra hooks above each table so that I could rearaange the lights for veg and flower.

Yes of course the size of the buckets determine the size of the plants. I know from experience. First grow grew 6 plants 18 gallon buckets begged for 4 months (first time grower so had to veg longer due to root rot) after all said and done 6 females under 1100 watts gave me 12+ ounces per plant was pretty good to me considering they were sick for a month and finally recovered. Then I grew 6 plants in 5 gallon buckets to make things easier for me. And only yielded 6 ounces In 5 months. Plants didn't get nearly as big. I am currently doing 20 18 gallon pots. Under 4000 wats. Experimenting with autos this go around.

I always do a lot better in 7gals than 5s. But it depends how big you want to get them .

I pull 8-12 ounces from 7 gal pots and about 6-7 weeks veg . Normally my 5 gal pots are 4-5 ounces . 3 ish ounces with ogs

Bigger plants in the same sized space would require more air movement/ventilation, some pruning and training (perhaps through a SCROG setup). I would go with the 7 gallon pots and be sure to remove the undergrowth that doesn't recieve much light. The increased air circulation and pruning will help with yield and keep mold/mildew at bay. Im currently growing in 7 gallon pots under 600w lights, about 6 per light. They've maxed out at about 3 3/4-4 ft. I trained them and pruned the bottom 10 inches to nothing... Working good so far!

The very thought of harvesting all that at once makes my fingers hurt.... good luck tho!

I'm going to run 9 plants per 5foot by 5 foot table in 7 gallon pots with two 600's over each table. I'm going to run the block buster hoods, they are inbetween the size of a raptor and a smaller hood. all hoods are going to be 8 inch with a vortech exhaust fan. I'm hoping to pull a qp a plant consistenly. before I was running 9 five gallon pots and I would pull 3 to 3.5 a plant. off my 10 lighter I was pulling 18 pounds every 3 months. that was romulan that I got from Weezer on here.

I allways lst and loly pop. the air flow will be great im going to have to 16 inch wall mount fans. My biggest challenge is going to be running another line into my house to run some more power.

Im going to veg under 2 4 foot 4 bulb t5s in one room for about 1.5 months in 2 gallon pots then transplant into the 7's when I crop and veg the next crop out under the six 600's dialed down to 400 watts for about 2 weeks

shit I don't even know. I know that my 10,000 watt grow ran me 1,000 a month in electric sometimes 800 to 900 inthe witer
