sso made a very important point. the anger and other feelings are towards the religion itself for the most part. although to be fair i think some people do sometimes direct anger at the people themselves without realizing it as they are subconsiously jealous of the peace of mind blind faith and obedience can bring they no longer possess.

yeah, misdirected hate..

blind faith, whatever gets ya through the day.. :) (im not bashing.. heck, if booze gets ya through the day and you are an allright drunk, well, its a sucky world, we need all the comforters we can get till the day people wise up and start loving one another (or at least be nice..)

its just that when religion starts to take advantage of people...

and particularily the middle eastern religions with all their shame and dire threats..

do it or fucking burn... (distorting our view of sex as well, taking away its beauty (and ecstasy) and leaving shame instead)

its sad, when there is really much beauty in some of the messages from muhammed and jesus and wisdom.
you just have to take it in with the knowledge that these were primitive folks. (meaning some stupidity came along with it)

not too mention the fact that alot of closetqueers in the middle ages tampered with the text (the reason for the hate towards women and sex in christianity ;) (they were repressed and were spiteful because of that.course they kept the homohate going out of selfhatred (similar to many preachers today that chanted hate against gays and then were revealed to be gay (seems to be some sort of disorder caused by the repression against them)

i think some of the stories of jesus and other parts of the bible do have some good ideals and morals too, but we know they were not written by the actual disiples of jesus but from their "first hand point of view" of the story of jesus 80 yrs after they died by people who never met them or heard anything but word of mouth local stories/legends of the supposed event. honestly the way christinity is with editing the bible i think they should pull out alot of that old testament nonsense that contadicts what the new testament says and get rid of it. its been done to the bible countless times so why not edit it again to make it self consistent throughout. moses was a monster for example, having whole tribes slaughtered men women children and everything razed because god supposedly told them too.

I completely agree about Christianity, some real crazy shit has been done under his name. I'm in no way a Christian at all, in fact Christianity is kind of a slap in the face to my faith, but I get peace by knowing if they belive in anything (in talking about all groups here) they will have to deal with their choices one way or another, oh and not all religions are about shame shit in my faith there is no hell, hell was a story used to scare kids lol. As for the Hebrew bible aka the old testament it is not meant to be a happy book, our G-D is a father do good and be blessed do bad and there are punishments. Imo the problem is when people start taking things literally from the bible, as a Jew i was taught real young that the book while full of good morals is a history book more than anything, and a lot of the stories are written in the often whimsical way as a defense. When we were taken over and had to assimilate the book posed no threat because of how unlikely some of the stoires are. If its not a threat it won't be wiped out is the reasoning.
