So, being a yr 1/2 in, how are the Arrest Rates? Raids? Forfeitures, CPS Kidnappings with Legal Recreational Cannabis in Colorado?

2016 is fast approaching, and as I am sure you all are aware the buzz word "LEGALIZATION" is getting more buzz then Bruce Jenner or who Kim Kardashian or Miley Cyrus are sleeping with combined.

But was Legalizing a Plant all you thought it would be? Or is it turning out to be a Half Baked, and poorly thought out Concept that gave government WAY more control that it had under Prohibition?

I think it's just ho hum. They did it. Didn't cause famine, disease, a world war or any other calamity. From what I see, some peeps medicate with weed(just like always), some peeps dont(just like always) and pretty much now that the "great legalization event" is growing a bit old, everybody is just going about life as usual. No big deal. Didn't change much. Imagine that. It's just weed.

It's rare to here of a major pot bust. If you do its some moron that was either shipping out of state or running a huge and obviously illegal op.

Until more states legalize rec sales the black market will continue to thrive. Between shipments going out of state and locals rejecting high rec prices there is still plenty of black market activity. Until prices come down more across the country someone will be in it for a quick buck.

The greedy politicians and dispensary owners and their lobbyists are fucking things up. We voted to treat it like alcohol, and they've done everything but.
This as well. Like any business the fucking money whores strive to make sure they get part of the cash. When you have dispensary owners lobbying against new business and politicians supporting them it isnt hard to follow the money trail. Cities and counties do not set quotas on how many stores can sell beer. They purposely limit cannabis stores and by doing so eliminate the benefits of competitive business.

Sounds like its been more of a mess than Prohibition.

I can dig that. its madness happening here in Michigan.

I have wrote a Peoples Initiated Constitutional Amendment a group of us are putting on the Ballot in 2016, while there will be 3 "Recreational Legalization Options being circulated to get on the 2016 Ballot here.

Here is the cliff note of mine (my own version of the Statement of Purpose our Laws require for Peoples Initiatives.

This should piss of the State. all the Cops, all the Liars, errr Lawyers I mean, and the Judges for good measure.

"STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

(1) Abrogate all codes, laws, policies, remove penalties for all cannabis

(2) use/associations.

(3) Removal from Michigan Controlled Substances Act in perpetuity.

(4) Cannabis/cannabis associations no longer actionable offenses

(5) against any persons in any manor whatsoever by Law Enforcement,

(6) Private, Local, or State Agencies/Agents. Strike all

(7) relevant Public Health/Criminal Codes and shall be kept in perpetuity.

(8) Allow cannabis use for persons 18+, minors with parental/guardian

(9) consent, for all treatments, research, medical, businesses,

(10) educational, industrial, manufacture, development/deployment, like

(11) other plants, plant products into any forms.

(12) Retail taxation/regulations conform to standard state tax codes.

(13) No Sin Taxes in perpetuity."

That is from the Draft I have created to Repeal Prohibition here in Michigan 2016.

Would that work for you if you were in Michigan over "Legalized Recreational Pot"?
