Snowbird Buying Land in Az?

Hi everyone.
I am in my early 50's, single and run a seasonal biz here in Canada. I do fuck all for the winter months. I am looking at getting a slide in camper for my truck and hitting the road for the winter.
Az has always interested me and I am looking at buying a cheap lot to park my rig on for a few months say Dec -Feb.
What are some good areas to check out? Warm enough climate, cheap land, safe. If anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them

I am a Canadian who lives in San Tan Valley, AZ.
There are LOTS of Canadians here!
AZ is a great place for RV people and very Canadian friendly.
I myself plan to sell my house, buy a small piece of land
and a travel trailer, so I can go visit friends in California
etc.
