Snakeoil for sale...

Grower A spends a $1000 on led set up, boveda packs and grow gear whilst grower B spends $200 on a cheap hps and set up with no boveda packs.

After four months both growers have yeilded the same amount and quality but which one of them got ripped the fuck off and which one didnt?

Growers or suckers....
It depends on electrical cost per kilowatt hour, total elec consumption to run each light, hvac costs, the performance characteristics of the facility itself, time elapsed, use case and intent, how many runs per light each grower ends up doing and a few other factors I am forgetting. Nobody does just one run with their light, your question is malformed to make the LED fixture look overpriced from the start.

Your question is frankly fucking stupid, OP, worse than meaningless. It is harmful to share this kind of shitty thinking.

No.
And fuck lumens per watt. Micromoles per joule.
reason 2 why leds suck - neither of these are very accurate scales of lights true affinity towards plant growth. Most of science knows that these are mere lab scales and neither is a true representation as cited in most institutions.

Buuuut with leds these are hard and fast rules that produce points they sell on, in reality i just turned the situation around and came up with snakeoil because that sexactly what it looks like if it cost $1000.

Dangerous or merely stating the facts your trying to hide....

Cool. I don’t care if you understand science or not, your opinion about what “most of science understands,” is meaningless. I don’t care what lights you use, either. I was pointing out the OP asked a stupid question, not engaging in a holy war. I use HPS, LED, and T5s.

i use hps right now. i don't pay for electricity where i live, so it's not a huge issue to me. if i had to pay the electric bill here, i'm pretty sure i'd be investing in QBs and cobs. i'd estimate that you make your initial investment back in about 1.5 years, and after that, you could be saving at least 30% per month on lighting costs.
most leds are rated for at least 5 years, so you could replace them every 5 years and still save about 20% over running hid lighting for the same period. and thats without figuring in the cost of new hps bulbs at least once a year for that 5 years....so who's getting screwed over the long run?

I don’t quite get electric free, but it is the lowest kwH cost you can imagine.

+ 5 bonus points for scientific name and family of said snake. kudos!
I am a superdupersnakenerd, lifelong obsession, I have kept and bred several thousand snakes, more than 100 species of reptiles, maybe >100 species of snakes...not sure.

Theres no savings - Reason 3 - Most off the led growers are on their third light as tech fast makes their last purchase redundant.

A watt is a watt, the same wattage light cost the same to run, zero savings, if you rhink there are refer to reason 1 & 2 for why they arent more efficient than hps, quite the opposite.

false. 100000 or 50000 hr leds are quite common.
now you are spreading snake oil.
did an LED touch you in your private parts?
Oh id agree but theres a cut off point, take your led back in ten years, tell them a few diodes have blown and watch them do fuck alk about it.

Cunning marketing, the warranty is actually nowhere near this long.

I have zero against leds, awesome lights. Problem comes listening to all the hype so really its those peeps and not specificalky leds that touched me in a private place and made me champion the truth as much as those that champion the hype.

Why are you one of these growers...?
