I smoked heavy from the age of 13 to 20. Last cig I smoked made me feel like shit. Never smoked one again. Been almost 5 years. Quitting was very easy.

Save your lungs for the good stuff! :bigjoint:

I am fortunate that I never picked up the tobacco habit, so the nicotine fiend is unknown to me. But kudos to everyone who has successfully put them down, including my girlfriend just last week! Woo hoo!

I an proud to say that I have the rap sheet to prove that I've been in the trenches, growing the medical herb for cancer patients and arthritis sufferers for just about thirty years now. If it's a crime to help my fellow citizen and ease their suffering, then I'd say there's seriously something wrong with the system.:finger:

So much for 'respect for authority'. :hump:

My father got lung cancer after 40+ years of 2+ packs a day..quit cold turkey the day they told him he had cancer. He even said after a week of not smoking he felt better than he did in 10 yrs..even with the active cancer. I talked extensively with some of the Dana-Farber Oncologist about smoking weed, manly to help my father, but not one of them, NOT ONE OF THEM, had ANYTHING negative to say about smoking marijuana, they did prefer edibles or vaporizers over combustion, but that was all they didn't like about it. My fathers DR was actually pretty pissed that they weren't allowed, at that time, to prescribe it for their patients. He talked about the cancer suppressing abilities, especially with my fathers type of cancer, and told me..and i quote "fuck the law, you do what you need to make him comfortable". He beat it, even though he didn't use MJ as much as i would have liked him too..

I'll be tokin to the grave..bongsmilie

Not just lung cancer, stage 4 with both small cell and squamous at the same time. They said they had never seen it before. When they diagnosed him they pretty much said he wouldn't survive. His case was presented at some international cancer conference where they came up with a treatment plan, and his records are still used in teaching. He ended up passing away a couple years ago due to CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease), which is another extremely rare thing....We joke about how he was so tough it took something extra deadly to take him out,.
