My plants have gotten up to 15 feet tall and a little under a 30 foot circumference when i was growing a particular sativa strain, now i probably average around 12ft tall and under a 25 foot circumference. And to answer someone elses question you can get the all size smart pots @ smartpots.com, the sizes range from 1 gallon to 400 gallon sizes.
dude!!!! i wanna party with you!!

So I don't have an answer but a question.....when using just a small 5 gallon smart pot how often should I water? It's kind of hard to tell I have no feeding schedule really it's my first grow so I have alot of questions. In doing my research before asking any dumb ones but I can't seem to find a satisfactory answer anywhere else

I've got ten 100 gallon smarties, they have so far given me what appears to be my best out of 3 years growing outdoors. Thinking of throwing a couple 200's out there next season

I take it you grow outdoors. What is your yield like in 200 gallon smart pots?

I use smart pots and agree they can dry out unevenly but the solution is to water less at a time but more frequently.

Another issue I have found with these pots is that they require a stand of some sort or crate to keep them elevated out of the saucer otherwise they can be sat in run off and don't allow aeration to the bottom of the pot.

I give my 20 gallons every other day they seem to love it the beauty of it is the roots will find the water it's not necessarily even watering I've never found it to be an issue and I water with 5 gallon buckets

Ya I grow outdoors, haven't used 200's yet but have gotten between 2-3# in my 100's
Good shit. If you pull 2-3 in 100s you may be able to pull 4-5 in the 200s. I want to do some outside guerilla growing next year but will never find a good place close to where i am.

Ya I hope so, never done a gorilla grow, benn lucky enough to have backyard grows, good ol norcal! My blue knights are really stinking nice, its such an early strain if I run her again I'll be sure to veg her under lights a couple months at least to get that jump, they gonna give me 1.5 at least I'm thinking, hopefully my 2 "minimum" I set for myself but at 4.5ft I'll be happy with 1.5

EDIT: I just looked up the smart pots... They aren't what I origionally thought they were. I'd think they'd look to acomplish the same sorta thing with them though. Eh, oh well. I'm not deleting everything I just wrote... lol
LMAO!!! thanks for the reply... just a question< do you have a hard time rooting in the new soil after transplanting? do you just have to water more around the edges? i like the concept of the smart pot, but one of my old timer grower friends said the smart pots are no good. maybe hes just old school! i also see that you only feed every other watering. is that kind of a rule of thumb? mahalo! (p.s.... love the handle. gotta change my shit, its so lame!! lol)[/QUOTE]
I water every time 4-600 ppm twice a week if I give plain water they show deficiencys

I gotta allot of love and hate for the blueknight.
In 200 gal smartpots we were only getting around 3lb's(max) where just about every other strain we were rockin, we were getting 5++.
Finishing way earlier than everything else was killer. The smoke is killer. Very tastey, and a very good nightime sleepy medicine(imo)
Trimming that strain fucking sucks though!
