Keep finding small strands of web on my outdoor plant. Found a few garden spiders on her a few times but im starting to think maybe spider mites. I have placed some white paper towel under my plant a week or two ago and shook the plant. I couldnt see anything.. is there any other ways i can check for mites without a magnifying glass?

Check under the leaves. If the leaves are green with yellow tiny spots then it is spider mites. They like to hide under the leaves on the spine of the leaf.

You shouldn't need a magnifying lens to spot mites. I feel if you gave the leaves a good look over, top and bottom of leaf, and didn't see small black spots moving about then it's probably just spiders. Small spiders will balloon off taller plants and trees leaving behind small strands of webs and that might be all this is.
