Small Propagator / Nursery Setup

My small home made nursery where my clones will chill and mature for 5 weeks before main grow is finished.

Made of 5mm white foamboard - learnt the hardware, make it in black and line the inside with white/reflective film. Instead I've covered the foamboard in black craft paper.

Side cover you can see covers a USB exhaust fan. There's a similar card cover on the over side for the intake.

Top of box has a chimney to let most of the lamp heat out. You'll also see a USB hub that powers intake/exhaust fans.

Bottom section has a 14w heat mat (£5) and then a 10mm air gap to the propagator tray on top.

In the top section you can see the 65w CFL (£17) and the two "crafted" fans (£3 each)DSC_0001.JPG .

Runs at about 76 with the hood on the propagator and no heat mat. 74 with hood off and heat mat on. Ambient is about 60-65.

that's a damn good idea. do you monitor the heat/humidity in the box?
Yes - it runs at a steady 74 degree leaf temperature (laser thermometer - buy one - pretty cheap on eBay).

Humidity is variable, depends on how much water I leave in the tray, etc... Clones are growing really well, so they seem happy.
