Small LED kits- COB vs QB

Im new to LEDs first off. Those blurple led's are what i thought all led lights were until recently. Id like to start my led adventure with a small kit that im going to use to suppliment a dark spot about 3ft x 2ft(alittle smaller actually) between two 1k hps lights. Ive found 2 kits i like but cant decide which would be better to try. Here are the 2 kits, ones a dual cob kit and the other is a QB kit. Was thinking 3000k with either kit. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

wow,, those are both awesome lights,,, i would flip a coin,,, for a small space i would go quauntum board

The quantum boards imo.

The coverage on the QB is 2x2 (4 square foot), the coverage on the cree Cob set up is 2-3 square foot, so the QB covers a greater area, its also cheaper.

My 260 qb covers 2x4 extremely well. It' 2 qb 's on 1 heatsink. 1 board should cover 2x2 more than adequately.

I have the 135 covering a 2x3 space, its done well so far but I'm getting another one because I'm only running 300 watts in my 3x4-need more powah.
Great little light, definitely recommend it.

I have an idea for you. If you don't mind DIY you could check out and use Cree CXB3950 COBs instead of the Cree CXB3070 COBs used for the video build. Cree COBs can be purchased for $10-11 a piece at alibaba by searching cree cxb 3590 3500k (or 3000k if you want those). They may give you free chip holders if you ask for them - GG

Have you bought any cree cxb3590s for that price because I'm pretty sure they cost way more than that? Like 3x!
