small buds worth the effort

Did you harvest that whole plant already? If the top of that is your "mature" buds, you may be chopping waaaayyyyy early.

As far as the popcorn stuff, save it for oil or butter, etc...

I had two plants that went into a vegetative state and grew to 6 feet with no buds after 3 months. I was ready to trash them but they suddenly decided to produce buds and in just a couple of weeks were looking good. after a few more weeks the buds grew and the trichomes said its time but the lower branches have a lot these timy buds that never took off.

I don't know, man. Maybe you're running some sort of magic juice. But I've never had a plant go from no buds at all to being ready to harvest in "a few weeks." How about some pics of the dried colas?

Not the most experienced grower by a long shot; but I've never personally had a plant go from nothing to finished in even 6-1/2 weeks. Judging by the pics, I kinda doubt you have either. Guess it's impossible to know without seeing what the top buds look like, but I have a feeling you're probably chopping way early.

Save the lower buds, dry them, throw them in a ziplock bag and in the freezer. When you have everything trimmed and in the freezer, go get a bag of ice and make some bubble hash. no sense in wasting small buds. You can also grind them all up and make yourself a few packs of prerolls.

As far as those buds in the pic they do look super immature like a 5 week flowering plant, but you can still get something out of them dont trash em.

Considering how immature they are id say trash em. Its a good practice to strip the lowers anyway, thats where the balls hide out on most herm prone genetics. That branch should have been stripped and the tiny nugs trashed (at least the lower 75% of it) weeks before it was
