small black bugs on leafs PLEASE HELP

hey guys, i have 2 plants that are about 2-3 weeks into flowering. i JUST noticed these bugs on only the leafs about 2 days ago. They are VERY small and barely move, it was very hard to take pics but hopefully they can help. if you know what they are please reply back and give me some ideas that can get rid of them. thanks guys.

any eggs or webbing?

nope, i think they leave black dots on the leaf. idk though i havent looked that hard because i had to turn off the light

looks like baby spider mites buddy, got the same deal goin on but got a hotshots time release poison vapor today. follow my post to see how it works, but i heare it works wonders from RIU peeps

Silver scratches on your leaves and black dots of SHIT seems to me like you have a thrips problem.


Swear i can see one on the first pic i will circle it now.


OK so on closet inspection of your pic as marked below i can see LARVAE, ADULT and the SCRATCHES definately THRIPS.


SPINOSAD and some HOT SHOTS NO PEST STRIPS will rid you of them.

Neem retards the growth of Thrips by attacking their reproductive system, It takes around 2-3 weeks for thrips populations to slow down, Neem will probably not rid you of them completely.

SPINOSAD is one of only a few products that can kill thrips


SPINOSAD is a bacterium that was found in an old Rum distilery by a vacationing scientist.

It is a completely organic way of killing MANY PESTS.

I have successfully used it against THRIPS, FUNGUS GNATS others have used it against APHIDS, WHITEFLY, CATERPILLARS and SPIDER MITES.


When using SPINOSAD i spray 3 times at 3 day intervals making sure i spray my plants, grow room and also the medium i am using.

If you are in HYDRO you can add it to your res but be carefull of pH swings as it can have a tendency to alter your pH.

looks like spider mites, i had them my first grow, i just mixed rubbing alchohol with water and sprayed EVERYTHING most went away and i just picked the rest off by hand but im sure theres sumtn better for it
