Skywalker OG Kush by Reserva Privada

Recently obtained some SKYOG beans, popped 2 of 6, traded 2, and still have 2 left for seedbank.

There's really not much to report at this time other than she does like to be topped and she seems to want to stretch. There isn't a particularly strong odor yet, but there is a slight skunky smell going on.

These are both about one month to six weeks old.

I'm doing the same strain in my no-till grow. I have a really vigorous but a bit lanky pheno. She is the one in the middle on the left. I may need to throw her in flower soon. She is about 6-7 weeks old from seed.

Very pretty gal. She looks like all the rest i've seen: lanky gals. My understanding is the name "Skywalker" isn't necessarily after Luke, Leigha, or Anakin Skywalker, more like it walks in the sky and has some legs. Its hard to tell what pheno I have considering mine are so young. I did start them into flower yesterday, because I am afraid of that stretch too.

My Sour Kosher, stretches like crazy (ill post photo soon), so SkyOG should pair well under that light and ill put my squat afghani's under the other light.

Additional Notes:

Nomenclature
When I refer to cannabis nomenclature I am referring to the new classification, just in case your like wtf is he talking about :joint::

Cannabis indica (Indica for short): This is the more stable equatorial strains, longer growing season, longer flowering period, tall stretchy plants, what used to be referred to as C. sativa.
Cannabis afghani (Afghani): This is the more mountainous strains as found in Afghanistan, short squat little girls, more tendencies to landrace/herm, what used to be referred to as C. indica.
Cannabis sativa (Sativa): This is what used to be referred to as C. ruderalis. Wild, autoflowering, and landrace strains fit this category.

Having said that, these SkyOG's look very hybrid but are leaning on the C. indica side.

Nutrient Technique - Organic Soil

I use Alaska Earth soil mix by Anchor Point Greenhouse, a local company here nearby. It is built with of course, alaska topsoil, peat, kelp, perlite, etc.

This is the foundation of all most of my vegetative grow. I try not to add the super soil until they go into flower. This particular time I added a touch and it burned them a bit. So, don't add super soil till later...and even then watch this thread, I will be adding a light super soil soon..and will be able to let you know how she handles it.

I've had strains that were testy before and the solution is just plain Alaska Earth, its soft, and then adding light emulsion/molasses teas does the trick, oh and dolomite/perlite is never really harmful in the proper doses.

Here's my Super Soil Mix:

Alaska Earth
Perlite
Worm Castings
Dolomite Lime
Blood Meal
Bone Meal
Epsom Salts

I generally add a couple inches to the bottom of the pot, and a couple inches to the top. A basic top and bottom dressing.

Feeding the Micro's Later..

I use teas. Mostly castings, seabird guano, epsom, molasses, fish emulsion, and compost (soon, my pile isnt ready yet). Maybe 2-3 times during the cycle.

That is some really good info. I may have to start tying my plant down soon. Good thing she is starting to shoot out secondary branches now. Keep in mind my plants are in 10 gallon fabric pots. So they might end up being huge...

I have them in 3 gallon buckets right now and will be repotting them into 7 gallon wide pots very soon. Were about a week into flower now. It will be nice to see how they perform in the different container sizes. I am extremely interested in fabric pots so that will be good to know too..

Maybe smaller pots to contain the growth would be good, but then again we run the risk of root rot, rootbound sadness.

I do not mind learning, so if you kick my ass in the comparisons, ill probably switch over ;)

Here they are today, they stretch about oh a half inch to an inch a day so far since they have been in flower....took a couple clones too before it was too late as well, so they are kinda pissed at me right now.

Nice plants, looking real healthy. I have some Reserva Privada Skywalker Kush I am also about to pop... I smoked this stuff 2 months ago in Amsterdam and it was seriously dank stuff... Out of all the strains I smoked when I was there, this was one of the strongest.

Good luck with the grow, I will be checking in to see how they progress :bigjoint:

Love this stuff, been running them for the last three years now

I have 12 beans I popped and am a week into taking clones from all of them

I am sure there will be a keeper here

Great smoke!

Check out Horrible Herk on here, he is a scientist with this stuff. He ran his cut for awhile and did a killer job at it. He is the man

6 weeks in. Two distinct pheno's, one hermed a small single ball way down low, caught it in time, nothings shown since. Here's some photo's of Sky OG Kush- A, the one I will be saving for future use..

She's very skunky. Looks very dense and can't wait to try her. Two more weeks and we will do a trich inspection. She's definitely on her last push right now, calyx's exploding and swelled a lot in just the last few days..

Good to hear about the move man,

Check out the bodhi forum I was in tonight, I posted some pics of SW and Skylotus

Started a new batch of seeds, looking for that berry pheno still. If my nose isn't mistaken, I think I may have found it.

Anyhow, here are my girls today, we switched things around a lot.

In the back is SnowLand, a cross between LA Confidential and Snowcap Romulan. In front is the Sky OG.

Then we have a wee cluster going into flowering, Skywalker OG.
