Any idea what the strike prices are in the contracts? Rights of return? Quality standards?

"I'd like 10,000 kilo's of your best soil"

"ok, what kind of soil are you looking for? What standards do we need to meet?"

"soil. dirt. you know, the stuff that grows shit".

"sure, we can do that".....

These companies are growing, producing and selling dried bud and cannabis oils to a provincial government for retail sale. They're not selling soil.
That said, the details on wholesale price, return rights etc. are a mystery. The taxpayers are on the hook for whatever deals they make

Yeah, that was just an allegory.......

Are contracts public documents in Canada? Any public contract must be shown on request down here, unless it has a natsec origin or is classified for some other reason.

Yes and no. They get around it by having the retail arm as a 'crown coroporation'. You would most likely have to make a request for the information through a 'freedom of information' route.
I suspect that government run cannabis shops will not be profitable - ever - and they will want to keep the losses concealed.

Well, if they are on a fixed cost basis, with guarantees of quantities purchased they will get reamed.

Those would be sweetheart contracts for the LP's.
