Figured I would start a new journal so here it is.

Info: Indoor growing 400 watt hps 520cfm extraction fan.
Temps: 79 - 81 F During lights on 72f when lights off.
Current soil: Mix of MG African Violet and Happy frog (turned out to be a bad idea) No more MG for me after this, sticking with ocean forest from now on.

Plants: Pineapple Express g13 - Aurora Indica - 12/12 from seed around 4.5 weeks flower aprox.
my(cross-possibly unstable)GDP+Purple Voodoo+Super haze
seed gifted to me that will be renamed.

So I am aware of the issues my plants have and am sorting it out one day at a time. Also, you will see some brown dusting on the buds that is from some peat moss getting loose in my tent.

I have no idea what is up with my cross. Eh, my first actual one to sprout with late pollination. If it survives its a feminized plant. :wink: cross.jpg

For those who care: When you mix 3 gal of FFOF with 3 cups of MG peat moss the runoff is at 6.5 ph.

Anyone got any advice on what I could add to this mix. I don't want anything that will raise the ph anymore than where its at.

Lime maybe?

Not sure I usually don't mix my own, but I want something different.

Was going to grow a plant in nothing but peat moss for shits and giggles, but that stuff is so light that with really good air circulation your crop gets dusted with peat moss.

The ladies look pretty good man, I'm not sure about the ph on that soil, peat moss should help lower it (slowly) I'll see what I can find out for ya. Good to see you posting again! I'll be around for sure ;)

Yea peat moss alone doesn't really lower it that much and what it does lower it takes at least a veg period to even start working. I used it mainly for soil aeration instead of perlite, but its from miracle gro so it has additives in it so when I mentioned it, it was for informational purposes if anyone comes and actually read this thread and sees the mix they may want to use it since it has a perfect ph for soil. :razz:

You misunderstood, I was not, am not, trying to start anything with you, at all. I just find it weird that you were so violent and threatening towards people.

And it was a serious question about the dead gnats. Im not knocking your plants man, they look really nice.

My bad. I got aggravated as you replied right after the fact.
Yes, I went irate a long time ago because they kept talking about my fiancee and yes that will piss me off. I got over it and left that politics section for good. I had no reason to be there and stayed to the growing sections.

The peat moss got loose in my tent and dusted everything I had in there.

Don't know if you seen it or not, but the plant that has a knot in it is just a solo cup with peat moss and it is very light and yeah. It sucks. It ruined my bud pics.
