Starting fresh... my last grow (https://www.rollitup.org/t/2x2x5-secret-jardin-single-blue-dream-in-soil.918319/) failed because the soil had way too many nutrients in it to begin with. I wasn't aware of this so I've decided to start over and do a few things differently.

I'm going to be using a 5 gallon smart pot instead of plastic pots, and I'm going to be using coco coir mixed with 30% perlite. I'll be using the GHE flora trio series. Flora gro, flora bloom, and flora micro. I'm growing in a 2x2x5 Secret Jardin Ds60 grow tent, with a Mars Hydro 300 LED.

I'm germinating 2x HSO blue dream atm, in jiffy pots. Will start the journal as soon as one of them sprouts.

Here's my setup to begin with, I know it's messy. But it works.

Advice and tips etc are welcome!

Seeds germinating under the foggy plastic, in jiffy pots. The tray with water is there to raise humidity + works to cool the air a bit when air is blown on it. (It's very hot lately)

Day 1 - Just sprouted. Still keeping her under a dome for the rest of the day I think.

Nice humidity in the tent, a tad hot, but I'm not running the oscillating fan at the moment, to avoid drying out the jiffy pellet.

Plant seems to be growing well now. No idea why it was stunted a bit to begin with. The one feeder leaf is like double lenght of the other. Do I have a handicapped plant? Will update picture tomorrow.

Nice man, be careful not to over feed the young seedling, I know you're in coco but the seedling can last first week with just water to keep the coco moist .

Looks good though I'll be watching

I was very careful. I followed http://www.growweedeasy.com/coco-coir - There's a guide http://www.growweedeasy.com/sites/growweedeasy.com/files/coco-coir-flora-series-schedule.pdf for feeding, with the exact same nutrients, so I followed that.

She said to feed as soon as the serrated leaves showed themselves.. So I hope I don't end up with nute burn or something :P

I followed your grow as well, we got pretty identical conditions, well almost your LED blows mine out of the water, but still!

Ill be watching this... been wanting to see a mars 300 by itself performs on 1 plant. Been thinking of getting a couple to supplement my lighting.

That's good bro, yea there's always room to improve the equipment. Sweet looks good.
Thanks man, I think the next upgrade will be either 1x http://getnextlight.com/nextlight/index.php?route=product/product&path=62_69&product_id=54

or another Mars Hydro, depending on how this grow goes.

I hope it performs decently at least, I've been considering 2 of them as well. Mostly because getting 2 of them is still a lot cheaper than paying for a name brand quality LED.

I still feel like the plant is growing slow. Anyone who can give me some feedback on that? Considering it sprouted 3 days ago.. Shouldn't it be bigger? Or am I just fuzzing? And even if it is growing a bit slow at start, will it change when it gets bigger? Or could I have gotten an unlucky pheno that just grows turtlemode?

You're totally right. It's picking up pace a bit now though. Luckily..

Day 4 - Temperature on 29c RH on around 45%, soil is moist'ish, not sure if I should water today or leave it for another day. The jiffy pellet is below all the coco, so I have a hard time figuring out if the jiffy pellet can dry out, while the surrounding coco is still wet'ish..

It's probably fine if the soils moist. It's very easy to over water. Looking good though, Il be watchn!
