Silicone Heating Pads For Heat/Thin Film Purging...

Anyone have any experience with the silicone heating pads? Was thinking they may be ideal for thin film purging a winterized shatter at a nice even low temp directly on the pad (they make fairly large pads)or any preferred final surface to purge would still get that nice even safe temp sitting on the pad, then it could just be cooled and broken off when it reaches that hard shatter state i'd imagine. Anyone have any pros or cons to this idea?

Also figure these would be perfect for the pre-purge of BHO not destined to be winterized after safe butane levels are reached before vac'ing.

Yup, they work well for that application. We get the pads from Briskheat, and control them with a cheeeep Mypin PID controller, with a solid state relay and Type K thermocouple, to within 2.4F of set point from subzero to 150F.
