Ya, as long as they survive. If they went to fast I would run out of room again. As long as I am getting 100% rooted I'm ok with it being slow.

Took 4 of the six and put in hydro, 2 had decent roots 1 had a little one and one had none. Want to see if the one with no roots at all will still go with the nutes in there. Threw the other two out. They looked ok but were taking to long and momma needs a haircut badly. I used the gel this last time and was not happy with it. I've had them root faster without it, but that was a different strain also so no telling really. I'm gonna do another run in the next couple days with no gel or powder. Just some mild nutes in the water. And see if it goes any better. All things will be the same as the last run just no gel. We'll see how long this one takes. The timing went well though. Enough clones to take out to start growing and the last batch that is in hydro could go into flower (1 is already). And plenty of new cuttings are ready on the mom.

Started the next run tonight. Same mother as the last and going 2 different way's this time and as I said no gel or powder. I used a mild mix of nutes, GH stuff. Equal parts Diamond Nector and the Floro Gro. I chose these on their N-P-K ratio and the extras that the Diamond Nector has in it. Ended up with a ppm of 426, a little higher than I wanted but ran out of distilled water. 6 went in the aero and 4 more went in Stonewool (like rockwool but different material). Decided to try more this way because I hated throwing all the good cuttings away. Momma got a good hair cut and I had at least 30 cuttings that could have been used. So sit back, get baked and I'll try not to forget to update.

I have some roots starting on one of the cuttings in the aero cloner. Maybe a 1/4 inch long. No signs in the stonewool yet though.

4 out of 4 cuttings in stonewool rooting and 5 out of 6 in the aero so far. The start to this batch is post # 86. The cutting with the largest root is in the stonewool. The largest one in aero is not to much smaller. All in all not a bad run so far % wise. I may get 100%. But the container I threw together at the last minute because I had so many cuttins did better or at least as well as my fancy aerocloner I made. And no cords or hoses to deal with also. I like the fact that they did well with no rotting hormone too. One less thing to have to bother with. In the pics, the one on the left in the pic of the 2 in net pots is the one from the stonewool. And the mini DWC that I put them in to while the roots get bigger. And then they go into 6" net pots to grow.

damn nice man! good to see, and without any hormone too.

im on my last batch of clones, and they took the longest, over three weeks i think. but they are now starting to show roots. i want them to take as slowly as possible anyways because there isnt any room for them yet. ive been gettin pretty much 100% success rate too, except for a couple that i accidentally pull out of the pellets on accident or something.

I was always led to believe that as soon as you take the cutting you need to get it in the rooting hormone quickly as air pockets would develop in the exposed part of the cut. Perhaps this is interfering with your success rate. I have not cloned that much but have always had better experience with all kinds of plants if I followed this premise. Hope that helps guys.

I'm sure it is best to cover the cut as soon as you can to keep air out. But probably as important is to use a sharp clean razor (I wipe mine with rubbing alcohol before I use it and always use a new one each time). In my experience it seems to be that some strains just clone better too.
