If Israel wanted to evict the Palestinians they could have done it at any time. Which is why I am confused at your misunderstanding of their immense patience with the situation decade after decade.

Hamas doesnt want a 2 state solution, Hamas doesnt want peace, Hamas wants the destruction of Israel and will be happy with nothing less. How do you negotiate with someone who wants you dead? Do you attempt to agree on you being only 1/2 dead?

From all of your input in this discussion you dont want peace either. You place all of the blame on Israel and none on the Palestinians. It is a rather childlike view of the conflict that has been going on for thousands of years.

Until the Palestinians stop attacking Israel they cannot be taken seriously.
FYI FATAH is in control of the Palestinian Authority not HAMAS

My dad who is in his 80's, never misses the news believes that hamas will exterminate every jew, mutt etc if they get control of the region.
There is no person in the middle east that is capable of planning 911.
HAMAS must have been at one point of time been affiliated with the nazis or vise verca.
I tell my dad not to worry because the real sh;t's gonna hit the fan when fighting spills into the former...he'll probably be in his box by then.
I have noticed that some of the immIgrants are tossing their vales and taking up with Canadians...WHAT NOW.

Outside of Operation Paperclip, does that book have anything else to offer? I only read the intro, and he goes off in several directions that have little to do with the topic at hand.
Not just about paperclip, also gets into the hundreds of nazis that the US/UK helped evade prosecution at Nuremberg, Jack & Kim Philbys dealings with Ibn Saud, Allen Dulles and the intricate relation ship between the PLO, CIA and Mossad in the early years of Israel.

The crazy thing is the amount of research and sourcing that this book has to offer. The author had access to US intelligence archives and has been able to paint a picture rarely seen by the public.

No such thing as a Palestinian.

It is like the Navaho, Apache, etc, letting in a bunch of Mexicans and setting themselves as the Reconquesta. (which they do, btw and these cartels are part of it.)
\
If the cartels began rocket barrage over this bs, you know what the USA would do, don't you Irish?

That would be the cartels attacking from a recognised State who's responsibility it is to stop those rocket attacks.

Palestinians have no State, therefore the comparison is moot.

FATAH does not appear to be in control of anything...

Palestinians cry while allowing terrorists to launch rockets from their territory. If the people of Palestine want peace they should rise up and defeat HAMAS.

So its Hamas' fault that Israel is a long term occupying power?

Blockade a country, people are gonna fight back.

I have no problem with you but it is chicken and the egg.

The blockade is due to HAMAS smuggling weapons into Gaza to attack Israel. It is also to stop construction materials from being used to create tunnels running under the border into Israel. This is not a defensive tactic it is an offensive tactic.

Israel announced it would be attacking Gaza and gave people ample warning to leave. The rocket attacks continued and people chose to stay or were forced to stay by their government.

HAMAS's stated goal is to destroy Israel. What would you have Israel do??

A two state solution will not stop the fighting. The only thing that will stop the fighting is for one side to be essentially wiped out. This has been going on for thousands of years and likely will be going on for thousands more...

What you gonna do when their crimes become indefensible?

The US is already starting to condemn Israeli attacks, John Kerry has been caught off camera making remarks which indicate a change in stance.

Will you forever follow Israel blindly?

Freedom for the Palestinian people is a human rights issue far more pressing than pot or gay marriage yet noone wants to even admit this cos then they're "Anti Semitic".

That's the standard US foreign policy line.

If the <insert country> wants peace they should rise up and defeat <insert enemy>

IMO it's not so black and white

The tunnels are also the only thing that sustains their localised economy. I'm not defending HAMAS' use of them, but they also provide vital supplies to reach civilians. When Israel announces it's going to attack they give 3 mins notice. Gaza is under total blockade no entry or exit. Where do you expect the civies to go?

HAMAS stated goal isn't part of the political mainstream in Palestine. They are a fringe element that continue to be shunned by the civies due to the damage they've done, to both Israel, Palestine and its people and obviously no one in the international community deals with them in any official capacity. The PLO/PA has nothing in their charter that is remotely anti-Semitic, let alone anti-Israeli.

Israel announced 3 days before this offensive that they were attacking. I expect the civvies to go somewhere else.

HAMAS was voted into ruling Palestine. HAMAS is continuing to fire rockets into Israel. HAMAS is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Palestinians...

If we are to respect a countries sovereignty (which we usually dont and I wish that would change) then it is up to the people in that country to decide their destiny. The Palestinians cannot claim innocence while they allow HAMAS to conduct terrorist attacks and shelter them.

How did a fringe element get ELECTED????

I find the distinction quite moot. Right now, the border area of Mexico is not controlled by Mexico any more than than Israel controls Gaza. We already know Jihad and these cartels are in communication. Of course they hate and would kill each other. But, we are the common enemy. What they decide to do about that depends on how pussy we are with Israel, among other things.

We have tunnels, too. But, don't worry.

Jihad has already decided about Ireland. Worthless for now.

The Cartels have no State either, dolt.

Dance the Jihad Jiingo. "I'm not defending HAMAS, but...." At work we call that a BUTT sandwich, because it's full of shit.

Tunnel into Israeli neighborhoods is a war crime, not to support the economy. Nice excuse making.

Don't worry. They want you dead in a ditch also.

Apart from the immediate problems they face with Israel, FATAH/PLO and HAMAS have been the parties vying for political control for a while now, feelings of disillusionment and disgust must run high added to the conditions they're faced with daily.
