Should I trim my Auto?

Basically my Auto grew like crazy in terms of leaves, though it also has many buds, problem is that many of them are covered under big leaves (not fan leaves) and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to cut these leaves so the buds would get better access to light. Would it make a difference?

It is an Auto and it still has 2 weeks to harvest. Thanks.

Tuck them if you can...

Also if you have one large main cola and other small buds down below you can snip the main when it's ready then lower your lights to let the lower buds ripen for a few more days.

I cut the shit out of those fan leaves so I can get more direct light where needed . and the end results prove me correct in my style of grow . are you trying to grow flowers or leaves ?

you said they have only two weeks till harvest. if that's all then yes you can cut all the fan leaves on off and if you still got leaves that are covering any buds then you can cut them off to. you still should have close to half your leaves left or close. like you said u only have two weeks. after cutting off those leaves give it a good drink of water give it plenary of Sun or light and then give it a extra 5 days. let it go for two weeks and 5 days. those last 5 days don't water any. You will be surprised how big those buds will be. I growed autos and photos for all of about 7 years. I grew about 100 different auto strains. I got 3 blue diesal autos and 1 Tha shiznit auto going rite now.

Wow, what you say sounds good, you have plenty of experience so I'll do it!

So I went for something in-between in terms of cutting: The top and middle buds will benefit a lot but I didn't cut enough for the bottom buds but that's OK, here's the end result: Before:

after:

I cut this many leaves: Are they good for something? Tea? Chew?

Some people grind dry fan leaves very fine and call it "canna-flour" then use it for capsules or baking...

The buds have very few photoreceptors , the leaves are very important to a plant.

ok every body needs to trim the leaves the cover the buds on at least 1 plant . and the other plants leave alone . and for your next grow get your snips ready you will be using them. stop reading old info its 2016 new ways of doing things . yes leaves collect light . yes if the fan leave is covering the buds . the buds get less direct light . trim those that cover buds . I am not saying cut every single one off . or keep saying I am wrong and you will never know .

New way huh, fools have been talking that same shit for 20 years.

It makes sense to me, this is why:

I think (based on my God-like intelligence and not due to credentials) that these fan leaves help the plant to grow: thus the plant grows tall, many branches, many leaves, thanks to them.
But then the plant stops growing and it just starts flowering and so the buds have small leaves connected to them, this tells me that this small leaves are the ones feeding the buds.

So if a big fan leave is blocking them, then the buds don't get much sun and don't grow much due to lack of light while the fan leaves are feeding the rest of the plant which is not growing anymore.

Thus cutting some of these fan leaves could help the buds increase their size, also I notice some of these fan leaves are naturally yellowing and dying while the small leaves on buds remain green which to me is a sign that fan leaves have achieved their purpose and are done.
