there is no need to flush, ever. If you wanna save yourself the $10 at most on the nuts you'd be using, go ahead it won't kill your plants. Flushing will not noticably change the taste or smell of your plants. And it doesn't matter whether or not you use general hydro, advanced nuts, organic or chemical nuts. The end result is what you make it, in how you take care of your plants from beginning to the very end.

And jackdirty, the last shit you tried from me had a very nice smell, I thought. not to overpowering or anything but it was there. Its not like your shit had much of a smell either. but it was bomb as shit

I don't understand why everyone seems to think that you need to flush. If you really know how plants work they don't even absorb the nuts you put in the water. Little microbes use the nuts and turn them into sugar. The plant then absorbs the sugar full of everything they need. when you flush you starve those microbs which in turn starves your plant. I say just cut em down, hang em in a very dark and semi-cool room with fans stirring the air around, but not blowing on your plants and wait a week or so. It'll be dry and taste great.
Agreed. The idea of flushing is the biggest scam since the push broom. The only reason I would flush is to save money on nutes when they are least utilized.

I've done the side by side comparison, maybe not enough to have conclusive results but I found no difference.

The worst part of it is some of the reasons people give as to why you need to flush. I had a guy claim my soil grow would taste like dead fish if I didn't flush because I was using a kelp fertilizer.

Marvinev have you ever used any other type of nutrients and noticed an appreciable difference using the flora series. In the past I've used a combination of nutrients, and I definately need to be more exact in my application of ferts. I normally don't fertilize unless the plants is showing deficiencies, but I feel that I could get better/faster growth by using better/more exact scheduled feedings to really push the plants.
